Skydance Games is seeking a Senior Project Manager to partner with our Core Tech engineering team in order to deliver the foundational technology that powers our games. This role will work closely with engineering leadership, technical directors, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive planning, execution, and delivery across engine, tools, infrastructure, online services, platform, and other core technology initiatives.
The ideal candidate combines strong project management skills with a solid understanding of software development processes and technical production. You excel at organizing complex workstreams, managing dependencies, mitigating risks, communicating across all levels and helping project teams maintain focus on their games.

Currently for this role, we can hire remote candidates with legal residence in the following states: Arizona, California, Florida, Michigan, New York, North Carolina, Texas and Washington.
Responsibilities
- Establish, refine, and scale project management processes that provide visibility into Core Technology initiatives, milestones, risks, and dependencies.
- Partner closely with engineering leaders, producers, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand technology roadmaps, align priorities, and ensure successful delivery of strategic initiatives.
- Own the intake, prioritization, and maintenance of the Core Technology backlog, balancing business needs, technical requirements, and team capacity.
- Collaborate with the Core Technology Engineering Lead to plan and staff initiatives, helping optimize team allocation while balancing scope, schedule, and technical complexity.
- Develop and deliver clear project status reporting, roadmap updates, and risk assessments to studio leadership and key stakeholders.
- Facilitate project planning, milestone reviews, dependency management, and cross-team coordination across multiple technical workstreams.
- Partner with project teams to define goals, success metrics, and delivery criteria for Core Technology initiatives.
- Proactively identify risks, blockers, and resource constraints, driving resolution and alignment across internal and external stakeholders.
- Champion operational excellence by improving workflows, communication practices, and development processes that enable teams to execute effectively.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of project management, technical production, or program management experience supporting engineering-focused teams.
- 3–5+ years of experience in game development or a related software development environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical projects involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience presenting project updates, risks, and technical concepts to leadership and executive stakeholders.
- Proven ability to negotiate scope, timelines, and priorities while building alignment across diverse teams.
- Familiarity with all phases of the game development lifecycle, from pre-production through launch and live operations.
- Experience using project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Airtable, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.
- Experience supporting engine, tools, rendering, online services, platform, infrastructure, or other Core Technology teams.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and software development best practices.
- Experience working on AAA game development projects.
- Passion for games and building technology that empowers developers to create exceptional player experiences.
