We’re looking for a hands-on content marketer with exceptional writing skills who can transform data, customer insights, and industry trends into thought leadership that people genuinely want to read and share.

This role owns the editorial engine behind our marketing efforts. You’ll create compelling content, manage our editorial calendar, and ensure every piece of content supports our brand, demand generation, search visibility, and customer education goals.

ResponsibilitiesContent Strategy & Editorial Leadership
  • Own and manage the editorial calendar, ensuring content aligns with business priorities, campaigns, product launches, and market opportunities.
  • Serve as the editorial owner for long-form marketing content, maintaining a consistently high standard for quality, clarity, accuracy, and brand voice.
  • Build repeatable content workflows that improve quality, efficiency, and consistency across the marketing team.
  • Identify opportunities to repurpose existing content into new formats and channels to maximize impact.
Content Creation & Thought Leadership
  • Write high-quality content across a variety of formats, including:
    • Data-driven thought leadership
    • Industry reports and benchmark content
    • SEO and AI search (AEO)-optimized articles
    • Webinar messaging and promotional content
    • Guides and educational resources
    • Website copy
    • Email campaigns
    • Sales enablement content
  • Transform proprietary platform data, customer insights, and market trends into compelling stories that strengthen 12twenty’s position as a trusted voice in early-career hiring.
  • Develop content that educates, informs, and creates meaningful value for employers, universities, and early-career professionals.
Campaigns & Demand Generation
  • Create integrated content that supports product launches, demand generation campaigns, webinars, partner marketing, and customer engagement initiatives.
  • Develop messaging and promotional assets for webinars, including those delivered with customers and strategic partners.
  • Collaborate with Demand Generation to ensure content supports pipeline creation throughout the buyer journey.
  • Repurpose campaign content across email, social media, web, and sales enablement to extend reach and impact.
Search & Performance
  • Optimize content for traditional search engines, AI-powered search experiences, and emerging discovery platforms.
  • Manage and grow 12twenty’s social content presence with a focus on thought leadership, education, and brand consistency.
  • Measure content performance across engagement, search visibility, AI discoverability, and pipeline influence, using insights to continuously improve results.
Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who is equal parts writer, storyteller, and marketer.

You likely bring:

  • 5+ years of content marketing experience in B2B SaaS, HR technology, EdTech, or a similar technology environment.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a portfolio demonstrating long-form thought leadership and business storytelling.
  • Experience creating data-driven content such as benchmark reports, industry research, analytics-driven articles, or customer insight pieces.
  • Experience managing editorial calendars and content production workflows.
  • Strong understanding of SEO best practices and the evolving role of AI search and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO).
  • Experience supporting demand generation through content marketing.
  • Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, engaging content for multiple audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
Bonus Points
  • Experience marketing to HR leaders, higher education and enterprise audiences.
  • Experience working with freelancers or agency partners.
  • Experience with webinar strategy and content development.

  • Creates a consistent, recognizable voice across every channel.
  • Helps to continue to establish 12twenty as the authority in trusted hiring.

Annual compensation range: $120k - $150k 

The annual compensation range for this position is listed above. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on company compensation practices, job related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and trainings, in addition to geographic location. 

In addition to the range below, US employees are eligible for equity. Employees in this position are also eligible to participate in the Company’s standard benefit programs, which currently include the following: medical, dental, and vision benefits, 401(k), and paid time off.
