About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Compensation Manager to join our Total Rewards team in the Seattle office. Reporting to our Director of Compensation, you will support the design, implementation, and administration of compensation programs that attract, retain, and motivate top talent. You will partner across the organization to ensure our compensation practices are competitive, equitable, and aligned with business goals.

We are looking for someone with a strong analytical mindset, advanced compensation knowledge, and the ability to influence and advise the business. A passion for process improvement and innovation in compensation practices will be key to success in this position.This is a hybrid position located out of Seattle, WA that requires 2-3 days a week onsite.

You Will:

  • Provide strategic compensation consultation to HR Business Partners and business leaders, including guidance on job offers, promotions, internal equity, and market competitiveness.
  • Support the design and administration of our job architecture, including job leveling, titling, and pay structure design.
  • Lead the participation in compensation surveys and benchmarking studies to gather market data, and assist in identifying appropriate survey sources to ensure competitive compensation practices.
  • Develop competitive and equitable compensation structures across multiple job families and geographic regions through managing the market pricing process, including role benchmarking and market data analysis.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for compensation-related modules in Workday and other systems; build complex compensation reports to deliver insights to HR and leadership.
  • Support the planning and execution of the annual compensation review cycle, including system configuration, training, communications, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Provide governance and oversight for the equity award process, including monthly grant cycles, documentation review, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and industry trends in compensation, ensuring programs remain compliant and competitive.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Compliance to ensure compensation programs align with budgetary constraints and legal requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying process inefficiencies and leading initiatives to automate and enhance compensation workflows.
  • Support executive compensation analysis and reporting, as needed.

You Have:

  • 6+ years of experience in compensation, including experience in a corporate environment supporting multiple functions or business units
  • Strong working knowledge of compensation principles, including market pricing, pay equity, job architecture, and total rewards strategy
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience using Google Sheets
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and provide strategic compensation guidance
  • Experience with compensation analytics with an ability to sweat the details
  • Experience explaining complex topics in a clear, concise manner across a layered organization
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business, or a related experience

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $124,000-$155,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
