Staff Compensation Analyst
Lumentum is seeking a Staff Compensation Analyst to join our global Total Rewards team. In this highly visible role, you will shape compensation programs that attract, engage, and retain top talent across the organization and multiple geographies. Acting as a trusted advisor to business leaders, you will deliver data-driven insights, influence global pay practices, and drive continuous improvement in compensation processes. Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the company’s annual focal cycle, partnering with global HR and business leaders to ensure flawless execution and alignment with company strategy.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders by delivering data-driven insights and market research that inform strategic compensation decisions.
- Shape and enhance compensation policies to support fairness, transparency, and compliance with global best practices.
- Develop and deliver engaging communications and training materials that strengthen employee and manager understanding of compensation programs.
- Provide in-depth analysis and modeling to support budgeting, cost forecasting, and other compensation-related initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline processes, reduce manual work, and leverage technology to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Participate in market surveys and translate external data into actionable recommendations for pay structures and practices.
- Design, review, and maintain salary structures, job leveling frameworks, and benchmarking processes to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- 5–8+ years of progressive experience in compensation, with hands-on expertise in market pricing, survey participation, job leveling, and salary structure design.
- Strong knowledge of global compensation trends, regulations, and best practices, with the ability to apply insights across multiple geographies.
- Advanced analytical and technical skills, including mastery of Excel and the ability to translate complex data into actionable business recommendations.
- Experience with compensation analytics platforms (e.g., Radford, Payfactors) and HRIS systems such as Workday is a plus.
- Exceptional problem-solving and consulting skills, with a proven track record of delivering innovative compensation solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build partnerships across diverse stakeholders.
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
Additional Requirement:
- Presence is required onsite 5 days/week to foster collaboration and productivity.
Pay Range:
P60-USA-1 :$108,800.00 - $155,400.00Disclaimer:
Final base salary for the successful candidate will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to, job location, where work will be performed, qualifications, work history and relevant experience.
