💻 Role

We are looking for a Senior Compensation Analyst to join our growing Total Rewards team. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in supporting and evolving our global compensation programs through robust analysis, process improvements, and strategic collaboration. You will serve as a trusted compensation subject matter expert to cross-functional stakeholders and employees as we continue to scale.

  • Conduct detailed compensation analysis and modeling to support compensation program design, recommendations, and key decision-making.

  • Lead market benchmarking efforts to evaluate internal equity and external competitiveness, refining job architecture and pay ranges to support business growth.

  • Manage the execution of our global compensation planning cycles, with a focus on data integrity, reporting, and process optimization.

  • Drive clarity, transparency, and understanding of compensation at Whatnot.

  • Partner with the Recruiting team to optimize offer processes, and provide market intelligence and insights.

  • Develop and maintain compensation tools, dashboards, and templates to drive informed decision-making.

Team members in this role are required to be within commuting distance of our New York City, NY, Los Angeles, CA or San Francisco, CA hubs.

As our next Senior Compensation Analyst, you should have 3+ years of compensation experience at a fast-paced company, plus:

  • Proven experience developing and maintaining compensation bands (including salary and equity), frameworks, and job architectures at scale.

  • Strong understanding of global compensation practices, with experience supporting international markets.

  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

  • Highly collaborative, with a track record of building strong cross-functional partnerships - particularly with Recruiting, Finance, and People teams.

  • Skilled in leveraging compensation data platforms (e.g., Radford, Pave) and analytics tools to generate insights and support decision-making.

  • Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and modeling.

  • A proactive, learning-oriented mindset with a passion for building effective, scalable compensation programs.
