Collectors is the leading creator of innovative technology that provides value-added services for collectors worldwide. We grade, authenticate, vault, and sell millions of record-setting collectibles, all while modernizing and digitalizing the process to further our mission of helping collectors pursue their passions. We’re always on the lookout for talented people to join our growing team.

Our services span collectible coins, trading cards, Funko Pops!, video games, event tickets, autographs, and memorabilia. Our subsidiaries include PSA, PCGS, SGC, WATA, and Card Ladder.

Since our founding in 1986, we have graded and authenticated millions of items. We employ more than 1,900 people across our headquarters in Santa Ana and offices in Jersey City, Tokyo, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Toronto, Guadalajara, Dallas, and Paris.

We're looking for a Senior Comics & Magazines Specialist to be the voice and strategic leader behind our growing presence in this space. In this high-impact role, you’ll guide our comics and magazines category across content, operations, customer experience, and partnerships — helping grow the community and elevate the brand.

As our go-to expert, you’ll partner across marketing, sales, operations, customer service, and leadership to shape the future of comics and magazine grading. You’ll also represent the brand at major industry events and contribute thought leadership as a trusted voice in the collecting community.

You’ll report to the General Manager of Pop Culture and work from our Santa Ana office. Hybrid candidates will also be considered. We believe that there is significant value in in-person collaboration. If you live within a 1 hour commuting distance to one of our offices, you will be required to be onsite most of the time. This will be discussed further as part of the recruiting process.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and contribute heavily to daily content across comic/magazine-specific social media channels

  • Partner with creative teams to guide photoshoots, videos, and campaigns through the lens of a comic and magazine collector

  • Be a key brand ambassador at shows, conventions, and events—capturing live content, engaging with the community, and supporting on-site activations

  • Collaborate with Operations to manage holder procurement, machinery investments, label design, and new product development

  • Provide feedback on the full customer journey and work directly with customers to troubleshoot issues and provide the best customer experience

  • Coordinate weekly with grading, pressing, and continuous improvement teams to optimize the customer experience

  • Organize and lead weekly business reviews to track category performance

  • Pull and analyze Pop Report data

  • Deliver insights and updates to internal teams and leadership

  • Support high-end collector relationships, dealer partnerships, and auction house visits

  • Manage influencer collaborations and ensure strategic alignment with key partners

  • Help support expansion into growth categories like manga and international markets

  • Contribute to content and process improvements for customer service, including handling escalations and creating response resources

Who You Are:

  • Deep passion for comics and magazines—ideally a long-time collector

  • Strong presence or credibility in the collecting community

  • Skilled content creator with an eye for storytelling and engagement

  • Experienced working cross-functionally and managing complex workflows

  • Comfortable with data analysis, business reviews, and stakeholder communication

  • Excellent communication and project management skills

  • Able to travel for industry events and in-person collaborations as needed

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
