Senior Client Accounting Coordinator

Job Description Summary

The Senior Coordinator is responsible for the comprehensive processing and maintenance of accounting data that flows to the property general ledger, with an emphasis on accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to internal controls. This role involves overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and additional complex accounting tasks. The Senior Coordinator will collaborate closely with the Sr. Client Accountant and other property stakeholders to ensure seamless financial operations and will take on leadership in internal projects and process improvements.

Essential Job Duties:
•Process accounts payable and receivable transactions within accounting software systems (Yardi/MRI/Client Specialty Platforms), ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Post daily cash receipts and ensure their accuracy. Report to property management any discrepancies between tenant cash receipt and tenant AR account.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of general ledger accounts, identify and coordinate correction of coding errors.

• Experience in commercial property management is a plus.
• Collaborate with Sr. Client Accountant and Management to manage critical turnaround items.
• Implement and maintain organized records and an efficient filing system, ensuring easy access documentation.
• Lead follow-up efforts on inquiries, issues, and outstanding invoices, employing effective communication and problem-solving strategies.
• Take the lead on internal projects, generating reports, and providing data-driven insights for decision-making and process improvements.
• Perform other related duties as required or requested, including assuming additional responsibilities during peak periods.

Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in accounting or a related field, with a demonstrated history of increasing responsibilities.
• Proficiency with Yardi, MRI, or other accounting software systems.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Exceptional attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness in processing financial data.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage and resolve complex issues effectively.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, capable of prioritizing and managing a high-volume workload.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong interpersonal skills.
• Advanced oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and professionally.

•This is a a fully on-site position. WFH or Hybrid schedule is not available.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.


The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.


The compensation for the position is: $27.80 - $32.70
