The Supply Chain Information Technology team is looking to fill a Senior Business Systems Analyst — SAP IBP Planning position. This job is accountable for crafting sophisticated planning solutions, optimization models, and data-driven insights for strategic and tactical supply chain planning. It includes direct oversight of NVIDIA's SAP Demand Planning / S&OP solutions and the coordinated business planning response and supply operations. Equally crucial is an in-depth understanding of AI, machine learning, and large language models (LLMs) applicable to supply chain planning. Strong engagement with business associates across Demand, Supply, and S&OP teams is important.

What you'll be doing:

  • Architect, build, and deliver robust, scalable solutions for sophisticated supply chain requirements using SAP IBP Response & Supply, Demand Planning, and S&OP modules.

  • Lead S&OP process build and system enablement, connecting demand signals with supply constraints to produce executable, collaboratively developed plans.

  • Build and optimize supply network models using SAP APO SNP Optimization and Capable-to-Match (CTM) techniques.

  • Build prototypes and proof-of-concepts for business requirements and translate them into production-grade operational solutions.

  • Use AI/ML capabilities — statistical forecasting, demand sensing, anomaly detection, and LLM-enhanced planning insights — to raise plan quality and decrease manual intervention.

  • Lead projects to implement new and improve existing SAP IBP / APO functionalities already live at NVIDIA.

  • Drive system build, integration analysis, testing, and end-user training.

  • Partner with diverse IT and business units to develop complete supply chain planning solutions.

What we need to see:

  • BS or Master's in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

  • 10+ years designing and implementing comprehensive supply chain planning solutions using advanced planning tools.

  • Direct experience with SAP IBP S&OP and SAP IBP Response & Supply is essential.

  • Proven experience in AI/ML applied to supply chain planning is essential. Knowledge of LLMs, machine learning, or data science related to planning is mandatory.

  • Strong S&OP process knowledge — ability to connect demand plans with supply capacity and produce an executable consensus plan.

  • Experience in SAP IBP Demand Planning encompassing statistical forecasting, demand sensing, and collaborative planning.

  • Experience working with SAP APO SNP Optimization or CTM modeling to address constrained supply challenges.

  • Ability to debug, support, and continuously improve applications built in SAP IBP and SAP APO.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Semiconductor or high-tech industry supply chain experience — understanding chip supply constraints, allocation management, and order commit processes.

  • Experience integrating SAP IBP with ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA, ECC) and external data sources via CPI-DS or API-based automation.

  • Hands-on experience with AI/LLM tooling for supply chain use cases — e.g., forecast explanation, plan summarization, constraint reasoning, or copilot-style interfaces.

  • Knowledge of alternative sophisticated planning platforms — Kinaxis RapidResponse, Blue Yonder, Anaplan — to bring cross-platform benchmarking perspective.

  • Data science or machine learning skills (Python, R, or similar) for building custom demand/supply models outside of packaged tools.

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 144,000 USD - 230,000 USD for Level 4, and 168,000 USD - 270,250 USD for Level 5.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.

Applications for this job will be accepted at least until September 12, 2026.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
