The Senior Business Process Analyst is a hybrid data analyst and business operations analyst responsible for acquiring and structuring data, building business-ready SQL views, and delivering high-quality insights that inform strategic and operational decisions. This role partners across R&D, Operations, Finance, IT, and cross-functional business teams to enhance visibility, governance, and alignment of organizational priorities. The analyst will drive process optimization, strengthen data integrity, and translate business strategy into scalable systems, workflows, and insights.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analytics & Management

  • Acquire, integrate, and prepare data from multiple business systems.
  • Design, build, and maintain SQL business views, data pipelines, and governed data structures.
  • Transform raw data into dashboards, reports, visualizations, and analytical products for leadership and to drive operational routines such as resource capacity planning.
  • Develop and maintain data quality frameworks, validation rules, and documentation.
  • Partner with functional SMEs to ensure consistent definitions, business rules, and metadata.

Operational Excellence & Process Improvement

  • Assess current processes, identify improvement opportunities, and implement scalable solutions to support efficient portfolio operations.
  • Standardize workflows, governance mechanisms, and portfolio management processes.
  • Lead or contribute to high‑impact cross‑functional initiatives that enhance efficiency and transparency.
  • Support tool enablement (Planisware, Smartsheets, Jira, Tableau, SAP, Atlassian tools), ensuring adoption and continuous improvement.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve process or data errors, driving corrective actions.
  • Drive organizational change management by partnering with cross‑functional teams to plan, communicate, and execute process and system transitions.

Strategic & Business Alignment

  • Connect analytics and process improvements to broader organizational strategy and outcomes.
  • Interpret business needs, translate them into technical requirements, and influence roadmap decisions.
  • Develop insights that support strategic planning, operational reviews, and portfolio decisions, including for executive leadership.
  • Engage stakeholders at all levels to communicate progress, align decisions, and drive change enablement.
  • Collaborates with portfolio leads, finance partners, R&D program teams, and business system owners to align requirements and ensure smooth execution.

Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years in data analytics(required), business operations(preferred), or process improvement(preferred) roles.
  • Strong SQL skills with experience building business‑ready datasets/views.
  • Expertise with BI tools (Tableau or PowerBI required; Excel expert).
  • Comfortable building ETL workflows (Python, SnapLogic, etc).
  • Experience handling large, complex datasets; ability to interpret and communicate insights clearly.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in ambiguity, self‑direct, and deliver results across multiple teams.
  • Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to connect tactical work to strategic outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.

The estimated base salary range for the Senior Business Process Analyst – Data Analytics, Operations & Strategy role based in the United States of America is: $90,000 - $135,000. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
