Spectrum is seeking a skilled Senior Business Planning Analyst to coordinate and monitor budgets, re-forecast operating expenses, and deliver complex financial analyses. Utilizing your expertise in financial principles, you will help shape present and future financial performance while driving impactful business decisions.
How You'll Make an Impact
  • Prepare and review comprehensive reports and analyses to support financial objectives
  • Perform data trend analysis on operational budget spend to help teams meet key performance indicators
  • Build and deploy financial models to forecast results and support strategic planning
  • Utilize insights to identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities across Spectrum
  • Create and update operating expense reforecasts to ensure financial accuracy
  • Coordinate variance analysis and reporting for operating expenses
  • Conduct monthly reviews of financial statements to pinpoint trends and performance drivers
  • Analyze, educate and recommend updates to accounting operations policies and procedures
  • Drive process improvements and implement best practices in forecasting, budgeting and management reporting, including automation where possible
  • Partner with functional leaders to identify and pursue cost-saving initiatives across the business

Required Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field or equivalent experience

Experience
  • 5+ years of business planning/financial analysis or related experience

Skills
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data
  • Ability to quickly identify business problems and opportunities
  • Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally
  • Ability to engage with all levels of management and company personnel
  • Proficiency in software applications such as Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of advanced accounting theory and procedures
  • Knowledge of operating and capital financial statements
