In this role, you will:
- Partner with Relationship Managers and external Centers of Influence to acquire, grow and retain relationships by creating best-in-class customer experiences for Business Banking customers to support lending needs
- Demonstrate expertise in credit analysis and underwriting for complex business clients, including the ability to assess financial statements, cash flow, collateral, and risk factors in coordination with credit partners, and present recommendations to clients
- Generate new business from existing or independently sourced new client relationships and work in close partnership with Relationship Managers to enable acquisition of the full client relationship
- Proactively provide feedback and present ideas for improving or implementing processes and tools
- Manage the sale of products or services within a specified district, territory or lending vertical
- Select and develop referral sources, leads and contacts and participate in trade shows and sales events, as required
- Provide management with appropriate and timely reporting and communications regarding lead generation, new transactions, forecast changes, market conditions and competitive issues
- Ensure that all transactions from origination through close of deal are processed completely, accurately, in accordance with quality customer service standards and turn-times
- 4+ years of Business Lending experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
- 4+ years of experience in business banking, commercial lending, or financial services, with a focus on client acquisition, credit solutions, and relationship management within a Business Banking environment
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage a robust pipeline through internal referrals, external prospecting, and engagement with centers of influence to drive sustained lending growth
- Proven experience conducting consultative client conversations, assessing short- and long-term financial needs, and delivering tailored lending solutions across a range of secured products
- Ability to operate effectively in a matrixed environment, partnering across Relationship Managers, underwriting, operations, and product teams to drive alignment and outcomes without direct authority
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust with clients, present complex financial concepts clearly, and confidently advance transactions
- Highly organized with strong prioritization skills and the ability to balance acquisition, lending execution, and administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
