Job Description

Location: Flexible US locations/Remote

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Business Development and Client Strategy Manager to spearhead our growth initiatives and deepen our relationships within select sectors in North America. This is a pivotal role that combines strategic planning, client engagement, and market expansion to drive our business forward. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the sector ecosystems and a proven track record of developing high-value client relationships and mobilizing colleagues across our business. Demonstrated success in executing go-to-market strategies that drive transformative sales growth—ranging from $50M to $100M—is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development:
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the data center, pharma, or energy sectors.
    • Working with Key Account Managers, develop and execute strategic plans to penetrate target markets and expand the company’s footprint.
    • Lead the creation of proposals, presentations, and client pitches tailored to specific needs and opportunities.
  • Client Strategy and Relationship Management:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery and alignment with client goals.
    • Build and maintain trusted relationships with decision-makers, influencers, and industry stakeholders.
    • Develop client account strategies to maximize retention, satisfaction, and growth.
  • Market Intelligence:
    • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
    • Provide insights and recommendations to internal teams on market dynamics and client needs.

 

  • Collaboration and Leadership:
    • Partner with internal teams, including consulting, engineering, project management, and operations, to align business development efforts with company capabilities.
    • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and professional growth.

About you:

These include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 15+ years of experience in business development, client strategy, or sales, preferably within the data center or related technology sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of the data center market, including key players, trends, and technologies.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful business development strategies.
  • Demonstrated success in building and managing long-term client relationships.
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events.

Salary Transparency Statement

At Ramboll, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role in the Arlington, VA area is likely to be compensated at an annual base salary between $169,000 and $221,000.  Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range, depending on numerous factors, including experience, geographical location, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and skill level, and does not include bonuses, overtime, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
