Vast is seeking a Senior Brand Designer – Digital to join our growing Brand team. In this role, you’ll help define and expand Vast’s visual identity across digital experiences.

Reporting to the Head of Brand, you’ll craft systems and assets that bring our brand to life across websites, campaigns, presentations, and more.

We’re looking for a designer who is equally comfortable concepting at a high level and crafting pixels with precision. You’ll collaborate with product, marketing, and engineering to build a brand that stands out in the space industry—and beyond.

This is a full-time, exempt position located in Long Beach, CA.

What you’ll do
  • Digital-first design: Lead design across digital experiences, with a focus on our website, marketing campaigns, and other interactive platforms.
  • Brand systems: Extend and evolve Vast’s design system to ensure consistency across digital and physical applications.
  • Campaigns & content: Create assets for launches, business development, events, and social channels that communicate our story with clarity and impact.
  • Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to develop presentations and experiences that showcase our vision.
  • Mentorship: Provide feedback and guidance to junior designers and interns, helping elevate the entire team’s craft.
  • Craft: From concept to detail, bring a high level of finish and care to everything you design.
What we’re looking for
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field.
  • 7+ years (Senior) /  Experience in brand and digital design, ideally within tech, design studios, or startups.
  • A strong portfolio that demonstrates excellence in digital-first brand design, spanning websites, marketing campaigns, and brand systems.
  • Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite. Motion design is a plus.
  • Experience building and maintaining brand/design systems.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, systems-thinking mindset.
  • Excitement for innovation and curiosity about aerospace and emerging industries.
Salary Range: California
$94,200$162,680 USD
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
 
Base salary will vary depending on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, business needs, and market demand. Salary is just one component of our comprehensive compensation package. The person hired will have access to information and items subject to U.S. export controls, and therefore, must either be a “U.S. person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.62 or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing.
