Summary

The Senior Automation Specialist handles automation of processes and tasks using automation software tools. Responsible for development, testing, and deployment of automated processes, as well as maintenance of existing workflow processes. This includes automating data entry, creating automated workflows, and identifying areas of improvements in existing processes. Responsible for monitoring the performance and accuracy of automated processes, as well as troubleshooting any issues that may arise. 

       

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Creates, enhances, and implements Script Automation, Process Improvement, and Workflow Solutions
  2. Experiences with a range of programming languages used for automation, such as Python, PowerShell, and SQL
  3. Collaborates with Business Units to plan, design, and test process improvements to deliver operating efficiencies using workflow automation, scripting, and APIs.
  4. Serves as a subject matter expert to assist business units with evaluating and recommending process improvements and technical solutions.
  5. Analyzes existing processes to identify areas of improvement. Troubleshoots any issues that may occur in automated processes. 
  6. Effectively communicates with other team members and stakeholders to explain complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.
  7. Ensures the integrity of system changes through preparation and execution of test plans, documentation, procedures, and Change Management approvals.
  8. Supports DR/BCP testing and ensure recovery procedure documentation is current and accurate.
  9. Complies with and stays abreast of all policies and procedures, federal and state laws applicable to the job.
  10. Provide, present, and promote The Citizens Experience to all external and internal customers.
  11.  Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience                   

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline from a four-year college or technical school or 3-5 years of job-related experience. 

 

Language Skills                   

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

 

Reasoning Ability                   

Ability to define problems or inefficiencies in processes/existing solutions, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

 

Computer Skills                   

  • Experience developing and working with automation tools, such as Microsoft Power Platform Solutions (Power Automate or Power Apps), SMA OpCon, RPA, or Python.
  • Knowledge of API, SQL Server DB, MS SQL Server, and SQL Scripting
  • Power BI Knowledge a plus
  • Azure Knowledge a plus

Other Skills and Abilities                   

  • Thorough understanding of automation software and technologies, RPA, Power Platform Solutions (customizing and custom code development), SMA OpCon, and integrations. 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills evidenced by a background in preparing comprehensive documentation incorporating complex information. 
  • Highly detail oriented and strong organizational skills to ensure that automated processes are accurate and compliant with industry standards.
  • Ability to work with third party vendors, in-house technology partners, or peers within the bank 
  • Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision.
  • The incumbent should be self-motivated and have ability to work independently.
  • Strong decision making and communication skills.
  • Ability to plan, revise and execute project work plans as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills across both process and technical domains.

Salary Range:$87,612.00 To $124,846.00 Annually


40 hours per week.
