Join a high-performing actuarial team supporting CVS Health and Aetna's Government Services Medicare Advantage and Prescription Drug Plan business.

This position will provide analytical and reporting support for certain financial components impacting the net cost of pharmacy claims. The colleague will:

  • Apply quantitative skills and analytical methods to support Part D business needs.
  • Foster strong technical skills by manipulating and summarizing large data sets.
  •  Effectively communicate and collaborate across teams.
  • Leverage critical thinking and time management skills to complete and improve upon assigned projects while managing to deadlines.
  • Demonstrate understanding of existing data sources and translate into appropriate assumptions and functional business information.
  • Demonstrate creativity and adaptability through working with peers and business partners to identify drivers of emerging results and identify ways to improve upon existing processes.
  • Assignments may include summarizing experience data, running models and performing scenario testing, supporting model development and maintenance, and working with manager, peers, and business partners to develop simple explanations for drivers of financial results.

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years experience in an actuarial and/or analytical role.
  • Healthcare industry experience required.
  • Successful completion of 1 or more Society of Actuaries Exams.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite; proficiency in Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior Pharmacy or Medicare Part D experience.
  • Experience with SQL, SAS, and/or Python.
  • Comfortable interacting with colleagues at various levels across the company.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
  • Near ASA.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$64,890.00 - $158,620.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
