Overview:
We are partnering with a growing law firm in West Hollywood that is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its expanding team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and contribute to month-end and year-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and review journal entries, including accruals, adjustments, and account reclassifications.
- Manage fixed asset accounting, including tracking additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation schedules.
- Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies.
- Analyze financial results and provide variance explanations to support management reporting and decision-making.
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and related accounting records.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure appropriate accounting treatment and financial data accuracy.
- Assist with internal and external audit processes by preparing supporting schedules, documentation, and responses to auditor requests.
- Recommend and implement improvements to accounting procedures, workflows, and internal controls to enhance efficiency and compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar
- 4+ years of related accounting experience
