Company Description

Our client is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team. This position is for a highly reputable, privately held, global investment management firm. This person will be responsible for core accounting, financial reporting and consolidation services, and the preparation of financial statements.

Job Description

 Primary responsibility is to support the day-to-day accounting activities.


         Assist in the month/quarter/annual accounting close


         Preparation of general ledger account reconciliations to ensure balances are valid/supported and variances are researched and cleared timely


         Assist in the preparation of managerial reporting.


         Provide written financial commentary on monthly/quarterly results as well as the account reconciliations.


         Participate in the response to inquiries from management, auditors and regulatory agencies regarding accounting policies, procedures and problems.


         Assist with the implementation of new accounting policies and procedures as well as administering existing policies and procedures.

Qualifications

        Undergraduate degree in accounting.

         2-6 years of relevant accounting experience.

         CPA and/or private equity experience preferred but not required

         Positive and hands-on attitude toward problem-solving.

         Demonstrated ability to get the job done.  

         Experience preparing GAAP financial statements.

         Excellent written/verbal communication skills.

         Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.
