The Senior Accountant will handle month-end close tasks, financial reporting, manage accruals, and participate in process improvements and audits.
Job Summary:
The Corporate Accounting team at K1 Speed is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our growing team. In this role, you will assist with month-end close, financial reporting, and preparation of financial statements across our multiple entities. You’ll gain exposure to ad hoc projects and play a key role in building processes that enhance efficiency and automate routine activities. This position reports to the Assistant Controller, and offers opportunities for professional growth, leadership, and a chance to make a significant impact on the company’s continued success.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform various month end close tasks, including preparing month end journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and cost center analysis
- Assist with the month end close process for assigned international subsidiaries
- Responsible for accruals, fixed assets, and other accounts as assigned
- Assist in developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures
- Liaison with third party accounting firms and other departments to ensure correct reporting
- Drive process improvements through evaluation of accounting day to day activities and assist with implementing changes for improved efficiencies
- Prepare audit requests for external audit
- Assist with sales and use tax monthly filings
- Participate in special projects, data analysis, and reporting as required by management
What we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in accounting, finance, business administration or related field
- 5+ Years of full general ledger accounting experience
- Multi location experience (required)
- Onsite full time (required)
- NetSuite experience a plus
- International experience a plus
- Inventory experience a plus
- Excel (Advanced)
- Desire to improve processes, implement new ideas and actively get involved
- Proven ability to succeed in a fast paced and constantly changing environment
