The Senior Accountant will support the Accounting Department by performing account reconciliations, journal entries, expense management, and assist with audits and tax inquiries. They will lead accounting systems integrations and maintain data integrity.

The Senior Accountant (“Accountant”) is an integral member of Axiom’s Accounting Department (“Accounting”). The Accountant will play a key role in providing support to the Controller and Assistant Controller. The Accountant will be accountable for performing account reconciliations, journal entry postings, expense reporting management, and fixed asset management. Additionally, the Accountant will have other special projects, duties and responsibilities as determined from time to time by the Controller.

The successful candidate should have a combination of demonstrated experience and education that is equivalent to a minimum of 3 years with a focus on accounting or related fields. The candidate should also be able to lead and support accounting systems integrations, process improvement, and process clean-up initiatives to ensure data integrity, scalability, and efficient financial operations.
Bachelor's Degree, in Accounting or Finance, required.

- Records and maintains financial and business transactions, applying accounting principles, that include work that is analytical and evaluative in nature and that requires an understanding of both accounting theory and practice.
- Interprets the meaning of accounting records, reports, and statements.
- Maintain month-end, quarter-end, year-end closing entries; timely recording of the transactions to ensure that the deadlines are met.
- Maintain subledger and ensure reconciliations are done monthly.
- Review the tasks of the AP specialist for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare auditor and tax preparer requests.
- Assist with outside department inquiries and compliance with taxing authorities.
- Assist with preparation of financial ad hoc reports.
