Who We Are

Bluewater provides comprehensive and innovative solutions for managing the lifecycle of large format batteries and solar panels. As a startup committed to further developing a circular economy, we innovate in the reuse, recycling, and resale of EV, e-mobility, material handling equipment, and energy storage technologies to promote sustainability and resource efficiency. We’re on an exciting mission to reduce inefficiencies and enable a secondary marketplace for renewable energy equipment, and we’re doing it in an emerging segment of renewable energy where strong operators can set the standard for growth and innovation.

The Opportunity

Bluewater is seeking a Senior Account Manager to own and grow key customer relationships across our renewable energy verticals. This role goes beyond account maintenance and focuses on expanding revenue, deepening partnerships, and helping shape how we go to market. You will lead complex customer conversations, identify new opportunities, and close deals that require strategic thinking and confident negotiation. Working closely with leadership, you will have meaningful autonomy and a voice in how we structure deals and scale customer relationships.

This role is well-suited for anyone who wants ownership, influence, and the opportunity to make a visible impact.

  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to secure favorable agreements for both clients and Bluewater

  • Generate quotes, purchase orders, and proposals which are accurate to the scope of each project

  • Work with clients to understand their unique pain points and creatively outline custom solutions based on Bluewater’s services

  • Maintain a pipeline of leads while tracking ongoing deals within a CRM software

  • Support the establishment of new business units, identifying opportunities and nurturing key accounts from onboarding through long-term partnership

  • Work closely with leadership and internal teams to ensure project success and customer satisfaction

  • Train, support management, and mentorship of sales team members

  • Represent Bluewater at industry events, conferences, and client meetings

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or account management, ideally in a technical or sustainability-focused industry

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience

  • Demonstrated ability to close deals and manage a sales pipeline end-to-end

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to identify growth opportunities

  • Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Zoho, HubSpot, Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

  • Highly organized, self-driven, and comfortable working with ambiguity

  • Passion for sustainability, renewable energy, or circular economy solutions

  • Willingness to travel for in-person meetings, industry events, and site visits

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
