Who We Are

Bluewater provides comprehensive and innovative solutions for managing the lifecycle of large format batteries and solar panels. As a startup committed to further developing a circular economy, we innovate in the reuse, recycling, and resale of EV, e-mobility, material handling equipment, and energy storage technologies to promote sustainability and resource efficiency. We’re on an exciting mission to reduce inefficiencies and enable a secondary marketplace for renewable energy equipment, and we’re doing it in an emerging segment of renewable energy where strong operators can set the standard for growth and innovation.

The Opportunity

Bluewater is hiring a Senior Account Manager to help manage and grow its strategic customer relationships across the renewable energy supply chain. This role is centered on key account management, across the Company’s Battery recycling and reuse division. You'll oversee a portfolio of customers, recyclers, and strategic partners while identifying new opportunities as equipment becomes available. Working closely with Procurement, Operations, and Leadership, you'll guide opportunities from initial pricing discussions through contract execution and project handoff.

We’re looking for someone who is eager to learn, motivated, adaptable, and excited to grow within an emerging industry. If you’re energized by relationship-building, problem-solving, and working in a high-growth startup environment, this could be a great fit.

  • Prepare quotes, purchase orders, contracts, and other commercial documentation throughout the sales process

  • Coordinate closely with Operations, Procurement, Legal, and Accounting to ensure projects move efficiently from order receipt to fulfillment

  • Maintain accurate customer information, opportunity tracking, and sales activity within the CRM

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
