Security Engineer, Spam & Abuse

We’re looking for a Security Engineer to join Team Snapchat! Working with Snap engineers on the Spam & Abuse team, you’ll help us build infrastructure, work on clustering and classifying algorithms, and create heuristic engines to detect access to and protect our systems. You’ll work with industry experts on cryptography and app hardening, and learn how to build a secure, reliable, and safe app.
What you’ll do:
- Write code in Java and Objective-C
- Build infrastructure to solve challenging decisions about user behavior in real-time
- Design new clustering and classification systems
- Carry out forensic analysis on spam attacks and/or API abuse
- Design defenses that can anticipate and prevent future attacks
What we’re looking for:
- 2+ years of experience developing in C, C++, ObjC, Python, or Java
- Prior experience with machine learning
- Problem-solving skills that can be applied to the design of our defensive systems
- A passion for Snapchat and creativity!
