Job Description

Job Title:              Secondary Marketing Analyst

Department:      Capital Markets

Reports To:         EVP, Capital Markets

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: The Secondary Marketing Analystwill be responsible for generating the Secondary Marketing daily position report, maintaining the data integrity with QRM Mortgage Banking System, and ad hoc reporting. Interaction with multiple trading desk within Capital Markets, including Lending divisions of HomeXpress Mortgage Corp.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform pricing and rate lock duties of the Lock Desk each day for loan submissions and the pipeline.  Administer rate extension and exception policies when requested.
  • Perform administration of loan sales, which entails pooling loans, distributing loan tapes, preparing purchase schedules, and acting as the direct line of communication with investor
  • Coordinate the administrative duties of loan securitizations, which entails collecting various documents and signatures and validating loan populations on a monthly basis
  • Assist in the servicing administration of the originated loans including coordinating loan boarding and collection reporting
  • Coordinate the receipt and delivery of legal documents to the various financing and investor counter-parties
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned

DESIRED PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Good organizational skills to ensure integrity and maintenance of mortgage documents.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude and data analysis skills.
  • Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and able to work independently
  • Proven track record at delivering timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, mathematical skills and sound judgment

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Market pricing and hedge coverage knowledge
  • Must be highly proficient in Excel and Word
  • Strong business acumen and ability to interface with executive management
  • Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field

EXPERIENCE:

  • Preferred 2 years of lock desk / secondary marketing experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • This position is in an office setting with computer and general office equipment. The position requires the ability to move freely around within the department and other department locations
