Overview
As a Scrum Master at Kixie, you will play a pivotal role in fostering an agile mindset, removing roadblocks, and ensuring the successful delivery of our projects. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and stakeholders, to drive the execution of our agile practices and help the team achieve its goals.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and sprint reviews.
- Serve as a coach and mentor to team members on Scrum principles, agile best practices, and continuous improvement.
- Remove obstacles and shield the team from distractions, enabling them to focus on delivering value.
- Collaborate with Product Owners to refine and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Track team performance through key metrics (e.g., velocity, sprint burndown) and use data to drive improvements.
- Foster a culture of transparency, collaboration, and accountability within the team and across the organization.
- Act as a servant leader, empowering the team to self-organize and take ownership of their deliverables.
- Facilitate communication between teams, stakeholders, and leadership to ensure alignment and clarity on project progress.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in a software development environment.
- Deep understanding of agile principles, frameworks (Scrum, Kanban), and best practices.
- Proven ability to manage multiple teams and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with agile project management tools like Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to use metrics and data to drive team improvements and support decision-making.
- Certification as a Scrum Master (e.g., CSM, PSM) is preferred.
- Experience in SaaS, B2B, or startup environments is a strong plus.
