The Presales Solutions Engineer – SAP Business One plays a critical role in helping prospective customers envision the value of SAP Business One by designing tailored ERP solutions that address their unique business challenges. As a trusted advisor throughout the sales cycle, you'll partner closely with our sales team to understand customer objectives, analyze business processes, and demonstrate how SAP Business One and complementary solutions can transform operations.

This role combines deep functional knowledge of SAP Business One with strong presentation, solution design, and consultative selling skills. You'll lead discovery workshops, deliver compelling product demonstrations, architect solution recommendations, and develop implementation strategies that align with customer goals. Working collaboratively with sales, consulting, and delivery teams, you'll ensure a seamless transition from prospect to customer while serving as the technical and functional expert throughout the presales process.

Key Responsibilities

     
  • Partner with Sales to lead technical discovery sessions, uncover customer business challenges, and define solution requirements.
  • Design and architect SAP Business One solutions that align with customer objectives, industry best practices, and long-term business goals.
  • Deliver compelling, tailored demonstrations of SAP Business One and complementary solutions that clearly communicate business value to executive and operational stakeholders.
  • Develop solution proposals, scope recommendations, implementation approaches, and statements of work in collaboration with sales and consulting teams.
  • Serve as the primary functional and technical advisor throughout the sales cycle, confidently addressing customer questions and solution objections.
  • Recommend complementary solutions, integrations, and ISV applications that enhance the overall SAP Business One ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with implementation consultants to ensure a seamless transition from presales to project delivery through detailed solution handoffs and knowledge transfer.
  • Support RFP and RFI responses by providing solution design, technical expertise, effort estimates, and implementation recommendations.
  • Build and maintain reusable demonstration environments, presentation assets, and solution accelerators to improve presales effectiveness.
  • Represent the organization at customer meetings, webinars, trade shows, user groups, and industry events as a trusted SAP Business One subject matter expert.
  • Stay current on SAP Business One product enhancements, partner solutions, emerging technologies, and industry trends to continuously strengthen solution recommendations.
  • Foster strong relationships with prospects, customers, and internal teams while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, collaboration, and customer service.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience with SAP Business One in a presales, solution architect, consulting, implementation, or functional leadership role.
  • Strong functional knowledge of SAP Business One, including core financials, distribution, manufacturing, inventory, purchasing, sales, and related business processes.
  • Demonstrated experience leading customer discovery sessions, designing ERP solutions, and delivering compelling software demonstrations to business and executive stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable SAP Business One solution architectures and implementation recommendations.
  • Experience supporting the sales cycle through solution design, technical presentations, proof-of-concepts, proposal development, and scope definition.
  • Familiarity with the SAP Business One partner ecosystem, including ISV solutions for manufacturing, warehouse management, eCommerce, EDI, CRM, business intelligence, and process automation.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, reporting tools, integrations, APIs, or related technical concepts is highly preferred.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, consultative selling, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple sales opportunities, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and passionate about helping customers solve business challenges through technology.
  • High integrity, professionalism, and a customer-first mindset.
