About the Program
The Samba Associate Program is a 12-month, full-time program for graduating seniors — one cohort, one start date, and a structured path from graduation into work that matters.
Samba is the independent leader in media intelligence, powering the world's largest advertisers, publishers, and platforms to make decisions. The company's first-party data spans streaming, linear television, the web, and video games across more than 40 countries, collected with the consent of over 1.5 billion people.
We enhance our proprietary first party data with artificial intelligence to power the Samba Knowledge Graph: a single connected map of content, audiences, and outcomes that gives clients a deterministic view of what audiences actually do.
Samba's platform shapes buying decisions across major brands + content producers across the trillion-dollar global advertising industry — where the budget goes, and why.
Come join us and help reshape the media industry.
Your specific department placement within the track is decided once you join the program.
- Commercial (Los Angeles, New York) — Business Development & Account Executive.
- Business Development: Learn to develop and grow Samba's strategic partnerships, working with major companies across media, data, AI, and device manufacturing.
- Account Executive: Learn the fundamentals of a media sales organization — the product, the pitch, the systems behind the deal, and how to own a client relationship with confidence.
- Client Services (San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York) — Programmatic Account Management & Measurement Science.
- Programmatic Account Management: Learn how programmatic advertising works end to end — setting up audience segments across DSPs and platforms, managing client campaigns, and troubleshooting delivery while owning the client relationship.
- Measurement Science: Learn how media measurement works by managing client accounts directly, turning advertising effectiveness data into reach and frequency insights that shape how top brands plan their media.
- Engineering (San Francisco) — Data Science, Software Engineering, & Artificial Intelligence.
- Data Science: Learn to build statistical and machine learning models for campaign measurement and attribution, working with billion-row viewership datasets to power the causal inference behind Samba's media intelligence products.
- Software Engineering: Learn to build and scale backend services that handle Samba's data at a global level, working on performance-critical systems, distributed architecture, and the full development lifecycle from design through production.
- Artificial Intelligence: Learn to build and deploy AI agents in production, designing custom tools and execution environments that put Claude, OpenAI, and other models to work automating real problems across the business.
- G&A (San Francisco) — Finance/Accounting & Operations.
- Finance/Accounting: Learn the fundamentals of how a global company actually runs: planning, reporting, close cycles, and the financial systems behind every decision.
- Operations: Learn the fundamentals of how an organization attracts, manages, and develops talent: recruiting operations, workforce reporting, and how decisions are actually made; working alongside every team at Samba.
Associate Development
From day one, we equip you with the information, training, and resources to succeed. Your time begins with an orientation program at our San Francisco headquarters covering how Samba works, our products and systems, and a bootcamp on the professional fundamentals nobody teaches in school. You'll also join an executive speaker series where our founders and senior leaders explain their functions, walk through how real strategic decisions get made, and answer your questions directly.
Following orientation, you'll start making an impact immediately while continuing to build new skills. Development continues through hands-on projects, coaching from your manager and mentors, and ongoing opportunities to build your network across the company. We invest deliberately in deepening the AI skills you arrive with, because we're hiring people who will teach us something too.
If this role sounds exciting to you, we strongly encourage you to apply. We look for well-rounded, curious people. Our qualifications are as follows:

- Strong analytical background, through academics, internships, or self-directed work.

- We prefer students who have completed at least one internship with similar work experience.
