LTS is seeking a Salesforce Platform Architect with a deep understanding of Salesforce architecture and best practices, as well as extensive experience in enterprise-level Salesforce implementations, to support a program with the Department of Veterans Affairs. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business transformation initiatives. The candidate will support the Salesforce Center of Excellence as part of the new U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) OMEGA Contract.
What You'll Do:
- Design and implement scalable Salesforce architecture solutions aligned with VA OMEGA program requirements
- Lead technical design sessions and provide architectural guidance across Salesforce platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business transformation initiatives
- Define and enforce Salesforce development standards, best practices, and governance policies
- Evaluate and recommend integration patterns and middleware solutions
- Oversee data modeling, security architecture, and platform performance optimization
- Mentor and provide technical leadership to development teams
- Communicate architectural decisions and technical strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Work effectively and efficiently in a remote work environment
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in Salesforce architecture, development, and implementation
- Extensive experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and platform capabilities
- Strong expertise in Apex, Lightning Components, Visualforce, and Salesforce APIs
- Experience with data modeling, integration patterns, and middleware solutions such as MuleSoft
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CodeScan, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing in Salesforce environments
- Lead rigorous code reviews and PR evaluations to enforce high standards of system architecture, security, and performance
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to design scalable, maintainable, and high-performing solutions
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Nice to Have:
- Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA), Application Architect, or System Architect
- Experience in large-scale enterprise implementations of Salesforce. Knowledge of AI/ML capabilities within the Salesforce ecosystem
- Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools
