About the Role
As Salesforce Administrator, you'll own the day-to-day health of Stord's Salesforce org — from user access and data integrity to the automation that keeps our sales tech stack running without manual busywork. You'll partner closely with the Senior Manager, Business Systems, and with stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Support to translate business needs into scalable Salesforce solutions. This is a hands-on build-and-maintain role for someone who wants to replace clunky, manual processes with systems that just work.

What You'll Do

  • Build automation (Flows, Validation Rules, and other native tools) to replace manual processes across Salesforce objects
  • Manage, optimize, and integrate tools across Stord's broader sales tech stack
  • Assess the current state of Salesforce and the sales tech stack, and partner with the Senior Manager, Business Systems to build and execute a scalable tech stack roadmap
  • Run training sessions on system and process changes that actually stick
  • Replace email and form-based processes with automated, system-driven workflows across the customer lifecycle — from Lead to Closed Won handoff
  • Champion data stewardship: recommend governance best practices, ensure clean data capture, and keep pushing Stord's data toward more complete and reliable
  • Stay current on new releases across the sales tech stack and recommend or implement improvements that boost engagement and productivity
  • Weigh native Salesforce functionality against custom builds, and make the right call for scalability
  • Develop and continuously improve Stord's sales tools release strategy
  • Partner with stakeholders to surface friction points and ship fixes that reduce it

What You'll Bring

  • 3+ years of experience administering Salesforce, including Flows, Validation Rules, and object/field configuration
  • A track record of building automation that measurably reduces manual work
  • Comfort assessing a tech stack end-to-end and recommending a scalable path forward
  • Sharp problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience training teams on new systems or processes in a way that drives real adoption
  • A data-first mindset — governance, accuracy, and completeness aren't afterthoughts
  • Comfort operating with judgment in ambiguous build-vs-buy or native-vs-custom decisions

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
