Showroom Training Manager

The Black Tux’s Retail team is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a trainer to help us scale. Our Manager of Learning & Development will own the development and dissemination of all content for our programs. They will possess great skills in communication, content creation, identifying knowledge gaps, and collaboration.
What You’ll do
- Create and constantly maintain all training content for the Showroom team including but not limited to tech platforms, operational processes, company updates, product and showroom fittings
- Partner with Merchandising to create menswear training content: educate our teams on current trends in menswear, how it relates to our product, and how to style our specialty offerings
- Leverage multiple platforms for any skills and learning opportunities such as online platforms, handouts and reference materials
- Create trainings appropriate for multiple audiences, including but not limited to TBT Showroom Managers, TBT Showroom Associates, Nordstrom Program Managers and Nordstrom TBT Ambassadors
- Assist in the development of ongoing leadership training curriculum for TBT managers
- Collaborate with our Regional and Showroom Managers for the on-boarding of all new Associates, Ambassadors, Managers, or Nordstrom Program Managers
- Conduct virtual trainings for remote employees
- Conduct ongoing developmental training for all retail employees and Nordstrom partners
- Collaborate with all company departments to effectively communicate any company changes to product, tech platforms or processes and procedures
- Collaborate with Director of Retail Operations and Retail Operations Manager on the roll out of any new department initiatives
- Create and maintain centralized Associate/Ambassador resource for self guided learning
- Create trainings around opportunities for increased revenue and KPI improvement, as identified by Director of Retail Operations
- Participate in the launch of any new locations as it relates to training and on-boarding
- Travel to showrooms as needed for education and training
Who You Are
- You are or can become intimately familiar with our product, showroom fitting processes, and the internal TBT platforms that support our retail division
- You are confident with public speaking and can effectively communicate in both one on one and group settings
- You are sensitive to individual learning styles and can adapt your approach as needed to guide those you are training toward success
- You are great at breaking down large or complicated processes into digestible steps to maximize learning retention
- You can appropriately modify your training content to adapt to different audiences and levels of experience
- You use listening as a large part of your communication style to ensure you’re hearing the needs of individuals and teams you support
- You collaborate well, but can work autonomously to reach deadlines
