Sales Development Representative

Role:

We’re growing fast and the ideal candidate will be part of our growing inside sales team, prospecting new accounts through outbound emailing and calling efforts and inbound marketing leads. Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Career Trajectory:

Months 1 through 7

  • Learn SnackNation products and messaging

  • Learn the tools necessary to be successful: Salesforce, Outreach, Zuora

  • Consistently meet goals for initial meeting setup

  • Monthly sales influence and psychology training (books, role plays, courses, etc)

  • Leverage any opportunity you can to learn the market and the business

  • Build relationships with your Account Executives, Team Leads and Managers

  • Work with mentors to set goals for yourself to gain consideration for promotion to Account Executive

Months 8 through 12

  • Transition into the Account Executive role provided you're consistently hitting goal

  • Continue to build on your core skills and product/industry knowledge

  • Know what it takes to meet or exceed your goals and maintain the momentum to do so

  • Begin to expand your knowledge of Account Executive duties and responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Hit or exceed your monthly meeting set quota

  • Run call and email campaigns to generate new sales prospects

  • Use email automation software to send 200 emails per day

  • Make 70 phone calls (15 conversations) per day to assigned leads

  • All other duties assigned

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary plus commissions paid monthly. Base salary and commissions increase after becoming an Account Executive. 

Required Skills/Characteristics:

  • 1-3 years of experience in Lead Generation or Sales (preferably hunter sales roles)

  • High need for achievement and competition. Loves to compete and win

  • Enthusiastic, optimistic & certain of victory. Unfazed by rejection

  • Coachable. Listens to and implements advice from manager

  • Strong organization and time management skills.

  • Experience working with SalesForce.com or other CRM desired

  • Experience working and succeeding in a quota and goal driven environment

  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PPT)

  • Easily builds rapport and establishes relationships with prospects

  • Listens patiently. Will probe and clarify to get a real sense of customer's needs

  • Resourceful. Goes over, under, around and through obstacles to achieve success

  • Bachelor's Degree required
