The Role:
Golden Hippo is currently looking for a Regional Sales Manager (Midwest) who will be responsible for increasing effectiveness and efficiency of retail operations from demand forecasting and fulfillment to territory and SKU level performance.
What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like:
- Manage and analyze trade funding by customer, RSM and Territory Manager.
- Analyze sales and distribution to identify sales opportunities and problem areas.
- Track field sales and KPI performance.
- Analyze and manage distribution of Distributor Rep SPIFF programs.
- Time in field to create ongoing competitive analysis and identification of market opportunities.
- Work with sales teams to create SKU level demand forecasts.
- Work with internal and customer supply chain teams to make sure demand can be fulfilled to retailer specifications.
The Best Candidates Will Have:
- 7+ years in the consumer goods/retail industry
- 5+ years in an analytics role
- 3+ years in the pet industry role is a plus.
- 5+ years in the consumer goods analytics is a plus.
- Supply chain or sales operations experience is a plus.
- Direct retail sales experience is a plus.
- Thorough understanding of the pet industry and how pet distributors and retailers work
- Knowledge of sales and account management in the retail channel
- Ability to develop mutually beneficial relationships
- Curiosity to continue to grow and learn and uncover new opportunities
- Think strategically to maximize sales within geography
- Detail oriented & great follow through.
- Ability to adapt and change as we launch new brands and products and adjust strategy and tactics
- Self motivated and self directed with the ability to perform well with limited direction
- Advance skill in Excel.
