Sales & Product Marketing Technical Writer

The primary purpose of this role is to take on Product Marketing, Process Development and Project Management responsibilities for our new product from scratch along with more complex writing assignments. This person has proven planning skills, is able to handle cross functional collaboration, and can manage large and complex projects with minimal supervision.

This role is dedicated to driving product marketing and process development for our new product, with a strong emphasis on strategic messaging and content creation. The ideal candidate excels at crafting compelling marketing materials, developing effective go-to-market strategies, and collaborating across teams to support business objectives. With exceptional planning skills and the ability to navigate cross-functional initiatives, they will play a crucial role in shaping the product’s success.

This role also will be involved in the software development cycle. This person will be responsible for creating documentation that describes the set up and use of the software as well as technical information.

Salary range for this role is $80-85,000 USD.

Responsibilities

  • Drives documentation project planning and delivers documentation for the team
  • Provides content and content design for Product Marketing collateral
  • Develops new documentation/online help in English and in French, including process workflows
  • Localizes the documentation into French and manages localization projects for other languages including Spanish
  • Demonstrates mastery of grammar, syntax, spelling and coaches on these skills
  • Works on multiple deliverables and meets deadlines consistently
  • Creates regular, effective, and proactive communication channels with colleagues as appropriate to perform in the role
  • Assist in creating go-to-market strategies and content for new products and services
  • Write and edit marketing materials, including website content, blog posts, email campaigns, brochures, and social media posts
  • Ensure brand messaging is consistent across all marketing channels
  • Develop compelling product descriptions and promotional content
  • Support the development of sales enablement materials, such as presentations, case studies, and sales decks
  • Develop promotional materials for events and campaigns
     

Qualifications
Academic and Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in one of the following disciplines: Technical communication, Translation, English, French or Journalism
     

Skills and experience:

  • Professional verbal and written communication skills in English and French and optionally Spanish
  • 6 years of full-time technical writing in a software development environment with 4 years of full-time project management experience in an Agile environment
  • Advanced skills with GitHub, Figma, MadCap AMS, FrameMaker, and RWS Trados Team
  • Excellent organizational, decision-making, and time-management skills with an ability to prioritize and manage multiple issues and projects
  • Ability to understand product features quickly and their impacts
  • Strong writing skills for developing engaging marketing materials, blogs, emails, and product messaging
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Experience in the medical software field
  • Experience with JIRA, Helix, Confluence, Miro, or other CRM systems
  • Comfortable traveling domestically or internationally as necessary
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills required
  • Background in working with cross-functional teams, including sales and product teams, to support business objectives.
