Exciting opportunity for a driven, self-motivated, intellectually curious leader to influence the future trajectory of the Cat Litter business unit (Fresh Step, Scoop Away, and Ever Clean brands). Come be a part of a high-performing, growth-oriented team that is reimagining how we work!As the Category Sales Planning Manager, you are a strategic leader and architect of growth, responsible for developing and deploying a cross-channel business plan that directly shapes the future of our Cat Litter business. In partnership with sales, marketing and other key cross-functional team members, you play a pivotal role in influencing the development of the 18-month Category Plan—ensuring that business objectives are translated into actionable strategies that drive performance and competitive advantage.
This role reports to the Category Sales Planning Associate Director – Cat Care.
In this role, you will:
- Empowering People as Business Owners: You coach, develop, and empower team members, cultivating a high-performance culture that accelerates individual and organizational growth. Your leadership ensures that every team member is aligned with the business vision and equipped to deliver results.
- Driving Business Outcomes: You own the cross-channel business plan for the Cat Litter category, advocating for its success across the organization. Your cross-functional leadership and deep understanding of brand and customer perspectives position you as a key influencer in strategic decision-making.
- Customer and Category Planning: You recommend and integrate customer plans, supporting the release of business plans that are aligned with long-term strategic goals. Your collaboration with cross-functional teams ensures that the multi-year plan is robust, forward-thinking, and responsive to market dynamics.
- Building Organizational Capability: You deploy tools, processes, and resources that drive growth and eliminate inefficiencies, strengthening the organization’s ability to execute strategic priorities.
What we look for:
- Over 5 years of CPG experience, with a strong foundation in category knowledge, consultative selling, and business planning.
- Proven ability to deliver insights that inform category strategy and drive business transformation.
- Deep understanding of key Clorox processes and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in data-driven storytelling, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for continuous learning and staying updated on industry trends, customer landscape, and consumer behaviors.

We use broad salary ranges that reflect the competitive market for similar jobs, provide sufficient opportunity for growth as you gain experience and expand responsibilities, while also allowing for differentiation based on performance. Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.
–Zone A: $128,000 - $252,200
–Zone B: $117,400 - $231,200
–Zone C: $106,700 - $210,200

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
