What You Will Do

We are looking for a high-energy, motivated, and organized individual to join our team as Sales Manager – Whole Foods Market & Sprouts. This role will be critical in supporting the revenue, distribution, and trade funding objectives for Whole Foods and Sprouts. The Sales Manager – Whole Foods Market & Sprouts will report into the Director of Sales, Natural, to execute the day-to-day business while contributing to long-term growth planning. You’ll manage forecasts, oversee inventory and PO execution, drive promotional plans, and foster strong customer and distributor relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver against account objectives across merchandising, assortment, pricing, and promotion.
  • Manage the forecast in partnership with the Business Analytics Team and under guidance from the Director of Sales, Natural.
  • Own promotion execution at Whole Foods including trade planning, pricing compliance, and shopper marketing activations.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive results:
    • Brokers (Whole Foods coverage)
    • Distributor partners (UNFI)
    • Shopper Marketing & Retail Activation teams
    • Business Analytics team (forecasting & trade planning)
    • Sales Ops (PO execution & troubleshooting)
  • Provide input to commercialization on new items, fixtures, and shippers to drive category expansion in Natural.
  • Analyze consumption, syndicated, and distributor data to identify headwinds, opportunities, and actionable insights.
  • Support customer meetings and business reviews by preparing materials and representing the brand with professionalism and credibility.
  • You exemplify the traits of a Chompian: game changer, dedicated, ambassador, collaborator, learner, positive and scrappy. 

Who You Are

You’re highly organized, analytical, and comfortable managing details like forecasting, trade planning, and PO execution, while also building strong external relationships. You excel at collaborating across teams (brokers, distributors, analytics, marketing, sales ops) and can quickly identify opportunities to grow distribution, improve promotions, and strengthen customer partnerships. Above all, you bring a scrappy, positive, roll-up-your-sleeves mentality and are motivated by contributing to the growth of a high-energy, entrepreneurial brand.

  • You bring creative solutions for rapid growth; and have the follow-up to execute on ideas.   
  • You build strong cross functional relationships, both internally and externally  
  • 3+ years of experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods industry 
  • Previous experience working with or at key retailer: Whole Foods and Sprouts
  • Previous experience with distributor partners: UNFI and KeHE
  • Excellent interpersonal, networking and relationship building skills! This person can start conversations with anyone and create a positive association with Chomps brand
  • Experience in sales planning, trade management and forecasting 
  • Ability to multi-task and work in fast-paced, high demand environment 
  • Self-sufficient and highly detailed oriented 
  • Passion for natural and organic products 
  • Ability to travel for trade shows, sales calls, and meetings – approximately 25% of time through the year 
  • Bachelor's degree 
  • Must be an analytical thinker and data-driven; strong data analysis skills and experience working with IRI/Nielsen and/or Retail POS data  
  • Have worked with trade management and demand planning software 
  • Strong PC skills including online applications, MS Office, and Power BI 

Position: Sales Manager - Whole Foods Market & Sprouts

Reports to: Director of Sales - Natural

Location: Remote near Austin, TX + Travel

Type: Full-Time, exempt

Salary Range Opportunity:

  • The salary range for this role is $110,000 - $115,000 + 20% annual bonus

Compensation Philosophy & Total Comp:

  • Our salary ranges are based on verified market data and our philosophy of paying competitively for our size and industry
  • Individual pay rate decisions are based on several factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company
  • In addition to base salary, full-time team members receive medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401K 6% match, and monthly reimbursements for wellness and home office.
