Elwood Club – Sales Manager, Memberships

Job Description

The Role:

  • Looking for an individual that understands the importance of building a community, maintaining brand standards and thrives in a collaborative space. This individual will help create and maintain the ever-growing member base of The Elwood Social Club at Newport Beach through outreach, community involvement, partnerships, and creative programming.
  •  Responsible for the intake of all Pendry Social Club members from application, processing, and onboarding.
  •  Proactive solicitation for new membership base to meet/exceed revenue goals.
  •  Prepare and respond to all correspondence with potential members in timely manner.
  •  Prospect for new members by creating awareness of The Elwood Social Club, attend strategic local events and networking opportunities.
  •    Partners with internal counterparts to effectively manage all business opportunity.
  •    Develop effective sales plans and actions.
  •     Understands the overall market - competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic/industry trends, supply and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them.
  •  Manage and develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  •     Maintain brand standards of Pendry Social Club through daily practices and ongoing efforts
  •     Assist in all financial forecasting and budgets on all things Pendry Social Club
  •     Bringing presence and personality to our members by connecting them to with their community. Creating, hosting, and executing member moments and activations including but not limited to: Entertainment, Surprise and Delights, Member Happy Hours, and Holiday celebrations. 
  •    Membership Account Management
  •     Audit / Review Occupancy reports
  •     Generate accurate house reports via data base management
  •    Weekly pipeline and 
  • Develop relationships within community to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities.
  •    Provides excellent customer sales service in order to grow share of the account.
  •  Execute the brand’s Customer Service Standards and property’s Brand Standards through the sales process.
  •  Work to achieve annual budgetary goals with respect to membership base and revenue. Achieve monthly and annual quotas.
  •  Manage relationships with potential members and ensure that all information/history in Peoplevine is current and accurate.
  • Qualifications and Skills: 
  •  Demonstrates strong leadership skills 
  •  Strong knowledge of culture, trends, entertainment, arts, and overall community presence.
  •  Works in a highly organized manner 
  •  Ability to adhere to strict deadlines 
  •  Ability to effectively communicate and provide directions in a clear, concise, and professional manner in both verbal and written form 
  •    Ability to coordinate and multitask
  •  Updating as needed with input + coordination from all departmental heads and PNB teams
  •    Ability to perform other duties as required
  •  Previous sales and operations experience
  •    Ability to work independently.
  •    Professional appearance & demeanor.
  •  Strong client/guest service skills.
  •  Ability to portray The Elwood Club and Pendry Newport Beach hotel as the unique asset that it is.
  •  Ability to make verbal and written presentations to both large and small groups
  •  Knowledge of (high-end) industry publications, general marketing and public relations skills.

We are looking to connect with candidates who brings:

  • Minimum 2+ years in leadership roles
  • Minimum 3+ years of hospitality or private clubs (Front Desk Operations) preferred 
  •  An innate understanding and demonstrated ability with high-touch and consistent customer service
  •  Individuals with diverse educational and training backgrounds.
  • Experience or an interest in luxury hospitality and/or creative or experiential businesses is encouraged

Physical Requirements:

  •  Ability to work long hours as business needed/ required
  •  Ability to maintain a flexible schedule
  •    Able to lift to 35lbs as needed

The pay scale for Sales Manager (Market or Segment) is $75,000-$80,000.
The pay scale is the base salary or hourly wage range, exclusive of incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, gratuities, and the like, that Montage reasonably expects to pay for the position.
