We deliver a radically simpler, faster, and more affordable logistics experience—helping businesses break free from legacy carriers like UPS and FedEx, and win in a digital-first world.

As a Sales Manager at ClearJet Connect, you’ll lead a team of high-velocity Account Executives (AEs) on the front lines of our outbound motion. Your mission: drive results through strategic leadership, hands-on coaching, and smart business judgment—empowering your team to consistently exceed performance expectations in a high-paced, exciting environment.

Within 1 Month

  • Rapidly onboard to ClearJet’s sales narrative, products, and target customer profiles

  • Gain deep familiarity with our tech stack, sales processes, outbound methodology, and internal structure

  • Begin actively coaching and supporting AEs on live calls, messaging, and pipeline development

Within 3 Months

  • Run energetic daily sales standups, conduct regular 1:1 coaching sessions, and lead constructive deal reviews with a focus on outcomes and continuous improvement

  • Routinely monitor call and pitch quality, ensuring messaging is clear, confident, and brand-consistent

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Growth, Marketing, and Product teams to align on lead flow, targeting, and feedback

Within 6 Months

  • Own AE performance management: pipeline health, quota attainment, and tailored coaching plans to strengthen skillsets and drive results

  • Identify and action key levers to improve conversion rates, objection handling, and outbound effectiveness

  • Act as strategic liaison between frontline sales, the Sellfire partnership, and ClearJet’s broader go-to-market leadership

Key Responsibilities
  • Directly lead and develop a team of 4–5+ AEs in a high-velocity, metrics-driven outbound sales environment

  • Set clear expectations and coach on daily/monthly sales activities and targets

  • Foster a growth-focused, coachable culture—instilling grit, adaptability, and a strong work ethic

  • Champion smart, data-driven selling: analyzing dashboards, diagnosing bottlenecks, and continuously finding ways to optimize team performance

  • Conduct regular call monitoring, deal inspection, and live coaching—including joint calls or role play as needed

  • Ensure all reps communicate ClearJet’s unique value and differentiators effectively at every stage of the sales cycle

  • Partner with Marketing and Product to gather and share customer insights, improve lead quality, and iterate messaging and sales collateral

  • Provide concise weekly performance summaries, pipeline forecasts, and hiring needs to internal and external stakeholders

  • Lead with business acumen—understanding market trends, competitive landscape, and how to position ClearJet with SMBs and e-commerce brands

What You Bring
  • 2+ years of frontline sales management, ideally in a high-volume, SaaS or outbound SDR/AE setting

  • Demonstrated leadership: ability to motivate, guide, and upskill diverse teams—especially in a remote or distributed setting

  • Track record of meeting/exceeding team metrics and developing sellers to achieve and grow

  • Deep problem-solving and business acumen—skilled at diagnosing gaps, prioritizing opportunities, and acting decisively

  • Expertise in outbound strategy: modern prospecting, CRM hygiene, follow-up, and messaging optimization

  • Excellent communication skills: clear, direct, and motivating—on live coaching calls, pipeline reviews, and executive updates

  • Solutions- and results-oriented: resourceful, adaptable, and energized by new challenges in a high-growth, startup environment

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
