Job Summary

Manages and directs a sales force to achieve sales and profit goals within a region. Manages multiple districts within a region and adjusts sales goals and procedures as appropriate for each district. Designs and recommends sales programs and sets short- and long-term sales strategies. Evaluates and implements appropriate new sales techniques to increase the region's sales volume. May recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential. Requires a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related area, and at least 7 years of experience in the field. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to top management.

Job Description

This individual will be responsible for managing a Region of 7 Field Sales and Business Develop Managers in the Western US.   Also maintaining and growing existing Territory in Region.  Developing customer relationships and prospecting for new business development in the Western Regional territory for the HVAC-R business.  The position is a remote position that requires someone to be based in or near the territory. 

Job Duties:

  • Create, maintain and exceed sales plans objectives & goals.
  • Recruitment, development, and management of sales channels (Sales & Business Development Managers, Wholesaler Distributors, OEM Manaufactures & end users)
  • Create and support sales programs particular to the assigned territory.
  • Develop and maintain contact with key customers on an ongoing basis and develop customer proposals to increase business activity.
  • Develop strong relationships with existing customers.
  • Work with Product Marketing to execute marketing programs, lead follow-up.
  • Develop new projects and opportunities based on customer requirements and interact with Marketing and R&D for new product developments.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) Years’ experience Sales Management in HVAC-R Industry.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in technical sales role. Specific knowledge HVAC-R products a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve assigned budget and performance metrics.
  • Strategic selling skills (Multiple contacts in one same customer: sourcing, engineering, sales, logistics)
  • Experience and proven success track record of managing channels (Reps and Distributors).
  • Ability to solve complex technical problems.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills (verbal and non-verbal).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products. Experience with CRM system a plus.
  • Capable of working remotely and manage multiple priorities effectively.  Travel 50% plus.
