Job Purpose:  
 

This position serves as the key contact for assigned credit unions and responsible to establish, develop and continually enhance the overall relationship with assigned credit unions in order to develop growth, retention and cross-sell opportunities. Through effectively cultivated business relationships, the role leverages and proposes the products and services offered by TruStage to support and meet the business needs of credit union customers.  

 

Job Responsibilities:  
 

  • Serve as the key point of contact with assigned credit unions, continually enhancing and building upon overall business relationship with assigned credit unions as measured through new sales, retention, account growth, and increased product penetration, in addition to non-financial metrics. 

  • Gather detailed information about accounts, analyze and prioritize information resulting in the development of sales strategies that ensure profit and growth objectives are achieved within assigned accounts. 

  • Lead a cross-discipline sales account team, utilize consultative selling techniques, and leverage knowledge of all TruStage products, to propose products and services that support the strategic plan of the assigned credit union; strive for profitable growth for TruStage in the process. 

  • Lead cross-discipline sales account teams to establish, implement, and monitor a service level agreement with assigned credit union customers; consistently deliver to the service level. 

  • Manage performance-to-sales plan and territory plans using metrics and scorecards to measure productivity, sales discipline, quality and achievement of financial results.  Based on results, develop and implement specific action plans to increase profitability by development of growth, retention and rehabilitation plans and termination of activity where warranted. 

  • Develop and deliver proposals; forecast and report on sales activity.  

  • Maintain ongoing, timely knowledge and awareness of activities and challenges/opportunities within assigned credit unions; ensure use of the established sales management system on an ongoing basis. 

  • Effectively utilize and incorporate information gleaned from loss of business in future work with same as well as other accounts. 

  • Develop and maintain an understanding of diverse financial services markets, with capability to position and sell products of TruStage in new markets. 

  • Continue to develop sales, business and leadership competencies. Continue to research, explore and learn how TruStage products and services can be used to solve credit union needs. 

  • Adhere to all sales and support processes that TruStage has determined as essential for distribution success. 

  • Conduct self in a manner consistent with established policies and procedures of ethical market conduct with high standards of honesty, fairness and integrity.

Job Requirements: 

List of general education, background and experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities typically required to effectively perform the responsibilities of the job. Also include any required licenses and/or designations. 
 

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Insurance or equivalent work experience.  

  • Minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience, preferably within the financial services industry. 

  • Strong sales aptitude and proven track record of success. 

  • Demonstrated knowledge of TruStage products and services, with in-depth understanding of the customers, business, industry, and market preferred. 

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, plan projects and maintain deadlines with strong organizational skills. 

  • Ability to comprehend and follow complex processes, with aptitude for continuous improvement. 

  • Demonstrated effective communication, interpersonal, relationship building, problem-solving skills, and customer service skills. 

  • Demonstrated ability to integrate computer technology into sales processes. 

  • Demonstrated strong collaboration and teamwork abilities. 

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively build business relationships with internal and external clients. 

  • Proven experience in developing strategies which will improve competitive position. 

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver effective presentations. 

  • Life and Health Insurance License and P&C License (both resident and non-resident immediately upon or 90 days after employment). 

  • Up to 50% travel required.

Compensation may vary based on the job level, your geographic work location, position incentive plan and exemption status.

 

Base Salary Range:

$77,500.00 - $129,100.00
