About Us

Cracken is an applied AI lab building the world’s first full kill chain proactive cyber platform. Built by cyber warfare-experienced operators and AI researchers, Cracken keeps digital infrastructure resilient so businesses and societies can operate.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a highly technical, customer-facing Sales Engineer to become a critical bridge between our customers, Sales, and Engineering teams.

You will be responsible for delivering exceptional first technical experiences with Cracken - from highly technical demos and customer workshops to full ownership of Proof of Concepts (PoCs). This role sits at the intersection of cybersecurity, AI Agents, offensive security, and customer enablement, helping enterprise clients understand how our platform solves real-world security challenges.

As one of the first technical touchpoints for customers, you will play a critical role in supporting enterprise sales, translating customer requirements into engineering actions, and influencing product direction through direct market feedback.

What You’ll Do
  • Deliver compelling technical product demos and lead customer-facing engagements, including technical deep dives, workshops, and product evaluations

  • Take full ownership of assigned Proof of Concepts (PoCs) from technical qualification and kick-off through reviews, implementation support, and successful conclusion

  • Analyze, qualify, and translate customer requirements and expectations into actionable feedback and priorities for Engineering

  • Serve as a key bridge between Sales and Engineering, consulting on technical and cybersecurity topics and helping align business needs with technical execution

  • Support low-level technical implementation and troubleshooting tasks when required

  • Provide market and customer insights to Engineering and Product teams to help shape platform direction

  • Act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the customer journey, supporting onboarding, deployments, and technical success

Qualifications
  • Vibe-coding experience is mandatory. Must have hands-on experience with AI-assisted coding tools, including but not limited to Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and similar vibe-coding solutions.

  • 2+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Pre-Sales, Technical Account Management, Professional Services, or a similar customer-facing technical role

  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, offensive security methodologies, and AI Agents

  • Familiarity with penetration testing workflows and attacker mindset; hands-on experience is a strong advantage

  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Experience supporting enterprise customers throughout the sales cycle

  • Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Technical background with hands-on experience in software development or engineering (preferred stack: Python, JavaScript/React, GitHub/GitLab, PostgreSQL)

  • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and vice versa

  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, high-ownership startup environment

  • Availability to work hours aligned with the US market (primarily West Coast / Americas time zones) as part of a customer-facing role

  • Flexibility and willingness to go beyond a narrow job scope when needed

  • Availability for occasional travel

  • Fluent English is mandatory, with the ability to confidently communicate complex technical concepts to enterprise customers and stakeholders

Nice to Have
  • Certifications such as CEH, CISSP, OSCP, or similar

  • Background in Cybersecurity, Military/Defense, or broader IT environments

  • Experience with Government Sales

  • Product Management exposure

  • Pipeline management experience

  • Customer Success or Support experience

  • Spanish is a strong plus

Why Cracken?
  • Real-world impact: our technology is shaped by offensive security expertise, real operational experience, and deep internal research

  • Mission-driven team: international team with strong Ukrainian roots, bringing together researchers, engineers, professors, and elite cyber operators

  • High ownership culture: exceptional people shape their own scope and trajectory inside the company

  • Frontier technology: operating at the intersection of AI, autonomous systems, and cybersecurity

  • Fast execution: small elite team, minimal bureaucracy, direct collaboration with founders

What We Offer
  • Ownership over a cutting-edge cybersecurity platform

  • Direct access to founders, researchers, and experienced offensive security professionals

  • High autonomy and real influence on product and go-to-market direction

  • Fully remote and flexible work environment

  • Competitive compensation package

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
