Aladdin Wealth is an investment management platform that enables wealth managers to accelerate growth across client segments, drive advisor efficiency & scale through connected digital systems, and deepen relationships by surfacing business opportunities to personalize client portfolios. Aladdin is uniquely positioned to address the industry’s risk management, portfolio construction and financial technology demands. The Aladdin Wealth team leverages the same risk analytics used by Institutional investors to equip wealth management clients with business & risk management, and portfolio construction, analytics & proposal generation capabilities. Aladdin Wealth is partnering with wealth managers to enhance their value proposition to their end clients, create rigor and scale in their investment process, and grow their businesses in a differentiated way. 

 

Position Description:

The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Americas Business Development Team and assume a client facing position, focusing on our Americas clients and prospects. The candidate will be responsible for outward facing functional and technical solutioning with sales prospects. From the first meeting through to the deployment and beyond, you’ll help and consult the customer with business use case, configuration, setup, evaluation and analysis of results, and benchmarks performed as part of the sales process. The candidate will help define architectures, respond to RFPs, deliver solutions for customers, and provide guidance to partners and prospects. In this role you will work closely with sales, marketing, product, and engineering to help incorporate customer feedback into the product.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Join Intro/Discovery meetings and initial demo
  • Answer technical / implementation focused questions
  • Own the US demo site content and feedback (with sales input)
  • Co-lead Discovery session and deep dive demos with Sales
  • Ensure completion of Discovery Questionnaire             
  • Lead Functional & Technical Assessment meetings     
  • Deliver Proposal deck & lead Exec Summary, Execution Strategy, and E&A sections
  • Complete SoW and inform contract scope       
  • Facilitate hand-over to Implementation Lead
  • Communicate functional & technical build requirements
  • Establish strong personal relationships with clients and represent all of BlackRock in a compelling fashion.
  • Develop strong internal relationships with all groups within Aladdin Wealth and the broader BlackRock organization to ensure an excellent client experience and convey client requirements holistically.

  • Experience: Background in wealth management & technology. Deep knowledge of the US wealth market with existing relationships at wealth firms. Demonstrated experience in successfully leading sales opportunities and closing deals. Understands business, financial and technical terminology, including how organizations operate, compete, profit and grow.

Technologically “aware” to be conversant with clients and visualize opportunities. Technology knowledge is important, but a deep skillset is not necessary.   
  • Top Notch Communicator: Superior communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts simply and clearly to clients.
  • Purpose: Ability to operate as a self-starter, operating with limited guidance in a highly matrixed organization. Enjoys a fast-paced, high-intensity environment; able to manage multiple priorities.

Requirements:

  • New York Areas Based (ideally)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • 5-10  years of experience in selling complex enterprise SaaS
  • Knowledge of wealth and risk platforms (home office and advisor facing technology)
  • Willingness to travel within the Americas is a must


 

For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$147,500.00 - USD$195,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
