What does this mean for YOU? As a Director within the Aladdin Business Development team, you will be a leader responsible for shaping and executing our go-to-market strategy. You'll engage with senior stakeholders at prospective clients to understand complex business challenges, drive new opportunities, and deliver strategic solutions that align with BlackRock’s mission. This is an opportunity to play a leadership role in a fast-growing, market-leading business, while expanding your impact across Aladdin’s client base.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of global GTM strategies for Aladdin, taking ownership of regional business development initiatives and market positioning
  • Cultivate and manage a robust pipeline of opportunities, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives
  • Build deep relationships with senior stakeholders at target firms, positioning BlackRock and Aladdin as trusted, strategic partners at the executive level
  • Own and drive the sales cycle, from early-stage prospecting through to deal closure and ongoing relationship management
  • Collaborate with internal teams – product, operations, and senior leadership – to ensure alignment on client needs and future developments for Aladdin
  • Drive expansion and growth within key accounts, introducing new product solutions, services, and strategic opportunities to existing clients
  • Influence and mentor the Aladdin Business Development org, contributing to the growth and professional development of the team
  • Be an ambassador of BlackRock’s values, fostering a collaborative culture that emphasizes innovation, teamwork, and client success

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Extensive experience in investment management or technology, with deep knowledge of the financial industry and a proven track record in enterprise sales
  • Demonstrated experience in leading complex, multi-year sales strategies across global markets, with a focus on C-suite engagement and long-term relationship building
  • Strategic vision to understand the direction of the financial industry, with an ability to foresee and act on emerging trends, shaping Aladdin’s role in the industry
  • Superior communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts for senior client and internal stakeholders
  • Leadership experience in managing and developing teams, providing mentorship and setting strategic priorities
  • Strong project management skills, with experience overseeing multiple complex initiatives in a fast-paced, matrixed organization
  • Ability to identify and develop new business opportunities while maintaining a deep focus on customer success and satisfaction
  • Experience operating in a global organization, working across multiple geographies and managing stakeholder relationships across different cultures
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and take full ownership of large-scale initiatives while collaborating effectively across the business

For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$195,000.00 - USD$275,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.

Our hybrid work model

Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities.
