About Buynomics:

Buynomics is the next-generation SaaS company in pricing and product optimization. It employs large-scale simulation technologies to digitize customers and predict their purchasing behavior - in any environment. Our clients use Buynomics to make data-driven decisions about their current and new products, overall portfolio structure, pricing, promotions, trade terms, and more, 100x faster and more precisely than every other solution.

We aim to enable companies to make data-driven, transparent, and customer-centric commercial decisions. For that, we build the operating system for commercial decisions that provides companies with a single source of truth to answer all their market-facing questions including pricing, product offers, and promotions.

As a Sales Engineer, you will support and accelerate the growth across multinational clients by demonstrating the value of Buynomics’ innovative solution and ensuring a strong technical fit throughout the sales process.

Role Overview:

In this pivotal role, you will act as the technical backbone of our sales process, collaborating with account executives to demonstrate the value of Buynomics to prospective clients. Your ability to bridge the gap between technical details and business needs will be key in driving our customer acquisition efforts.

What you'll do:

  • Client Engagement Support: Partner with Account Executives to understand prospect needs and deliver tailored platform walkthroughs and explanations.
  • Solution Storytelling: Translate complex features into clear, business-relevant value propositions during sales presentations.
  • Demo Development: Build customized product demonstrations and data-based examples aligned with each prospect’s context.
  • Technical Expertise: Answer product-related questions, provide technical clarifications, and support handling objections in the sales cycle.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with product and engineering teams to share client insights and help shape future capabilities.
  • Pre-Sales Content Creation: Contribute to the development of sales documents, technical briefs, and RFP responses.
  • Customer Onboarding Assistance: Support the initial onboarding steps to ensure smooth handover from sales to implementation.

What you'll need:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics, business management, engineering, or a related field from a top university
  • 1-2 years of professional work experience in a high-performing environment - A CPG company, consultancy or similar is preferred
  • Strong skills in project management, self-management, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, with a talent for working with quantitative data.
  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for engaging with clients.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, bringing attention to detail whilst thinking quickly on your feet.
  • Willingness to learn and grow into a technical-commercial hybrid role with a proactive attitude.
  • Professional level of English (German or other European languages are a plus).

What we offer:

  • A vibrant, international, and diverse work environment.
  • Flexible work options: remote within the USA East Coast (preferably NYC as our NYC office is planned to open this year)
  • A dedicated learning budget to support your professional growth and development.
  • Health, Visual and Dental Insurance
  • Personal and professional growth opportunities
  • Regular company events in Germany

To ensure a smooth and efficient process and that no applications are overlooked, please apply directly to the role. While we'd love to respond to everyone who reaches out, applying ensures that your application is properly tracked and considered.

Buynomics is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. This means that we don’t discriminate based on race or ethnic origin, color, the language(s) you speak, where you (or your parents) are from, or whether or not you consider yourself to have a disability. Neither will your age, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, beliefs, or political opinions play a part in your application with us. We’re a diverse team in so many ways, and we love it that way.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
