The Sales Engineering team is made up of industry experts who partner directly with maintenance, reliability, and operations teams to help customers improve equipment reliability, increase uptime, and maximize ROI. Working alongside our Account Executives to engage Maintenance Managers, Reliability Engineers, Plant Leadership, and Operations teams, our Sales Engineers serve as trusted technical advisors, helping customers optimize maintenance strategies through AI-powered Condition Monitoring (CBM) and predictive maintenance solutions. By building strong relationships with industry leaders and helping Enterprise customers understand the value of TRACTIAN’s solutions, our Sales Engineers drive successful evaluations, customer adoption, and measurable business outcomes.
As a Sales Engineer for Smart Trac at Tractian, you will leverage your technical expertise and industrial experience to partner with Account Executives in helping manufacturers modernize their maintenance strategies through AI-powered condition monitoring and predictive maintenance. You’ll engage with Maintenance Managers, Reliability Engineers, Plant Managers, and Operations Leaders to understand challenges, demonstrate TRACTIAN’s solutions, and drive measurable improvements in uptime, reliability, and operational performance.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Executives as the technical expert throughout the sales cycle, engaging maintenance, reliability, and operations teams to understand customer challenges and requirements.
- Lead consultative discovery sessions, product demonstrations, and technical evaluations that showcase TRACTIAN’s condition monitoring, vibration analysis, and predictive maintenance solutions.
- Translate technical insights into measurable business outcomes, including reduced downtime, improved asset performance, increased uptime, and ROI.
- Build credibility with frontline maintenance teams and executive stakeholders by leveraging real-world industrial experience and technical expertise.
- Support RFPs, RFIs, proof of concepts, and customer technical discussions while collaborating with Product, Customer Success, and Implementation teams to ensure long-term success.
- Utilize CRM tools to manage customer interactions, track sales activity, and provide visibility into pipeline progress.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in sales engineering, preferably in asset monitoring, IoT, or related technology sectors.
- Strong technical acumen with the ability to understand and explain complex technological solutions.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets in a B2B environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel as needed to meet clients and close sales.
- Valid driver's license with a good standing record.
