Sales Director
Location: Remote (U.S.-based) | 50% Travel Required

Position Overview
We are seeking a high-energy, hands-on Sales Director (individual contributor) to lead the pursuit of new business and close transformative deals in the aerospace and defense sectors. You will own the entire sales cycle—from prospecting and qualification through negotiation and contract signature—collaborating with engineering, operations, and applications teams to deliver cutting-edge CF3D® solutions. This role requires a technically strong seller who can grasp complex manufacturing processes and clearly communicate value while building trusted relationships across all levels of customer organizations—from technical teams to senior executives. Your industry expertise, credibility, and ability to align customer needs with our capabilities will be key to accelerating adoption and driving revenue growth.
What You'll Do
- Build Industry Relationships:
Develop and maintain strong connections across the aerospace and defense ecosystem. Cultivate trust and credibility with key stakeholders, positioning Continuous Composites as a strategic partner in advanced manufacturing. - Educate Customers with Applications Team:
Collaborate closely with Applications Engineers to communicate the value and technical advantages of CF3D® technology. Deliver compelling demonstrations and support customer education throughout the buying process. - Pipeline Generation & Management:
Own top-of-funnel activities including prospecting, lead qualification, and account targeting. Proactively build and manage a robust pipeline aligned to strategic growth objectives. - CRM Upkeep & Forecasting:
Maintain clean, up-to-date CRM records and deliver accurate sales forecasts. Provide visibility into deal progression and pipeline health, ensuring data-driven decision making. - Close Deals:
Lead the entire sales process from proposal through contract signature. Structure deals that balance value creation for the customer with favorable terms for the business. - Attend Industry Events:
Represent Continuous Composites at trade shows, conferences, and networking events. Stay plugged into market trends and competitor activity while expanding the company’s visibility. - Present on Behalf of the Company:
Deliver presentations and product briefings to a range of technical and executive audiences. Confidently communicate CF3D®’s capabilities and strategic advantages. - Travel to Customer Sites:
Regularly visit customer locations to build relationships, support technical conversations, and move opportunities forward. Maintain a high-touch engagement model with strategic accounts. - Drive Internal Development Through Customer Feedback:
Bring structured customer insights back to product, engineering, and leadership teams. Help shape roadmaps and priorities based on real-world needs and feedback from the field.
What You'll Bring
- 7+ years of experience in sales or business development, ideally focused on industrial equipment, advanced manufacturing, or related technologies
- Demonstrated success managing complex technical sales cycles and building long-term customer relationships
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding quota in a quota-carrying role
- Experience leading and closing 7-figure enterprise contracts
- Deep understanding of advanced materials, manufacturing processes, or aerospace systems
- Track record of selling into aerospace and defense markets, with established industry relationships
- Proficiency in Salesforce and other sales analytics or CRM platforms
- Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of an organization
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field
- Experience thriving in high-growth startups or fast-paced, innovation-driven environments
