Storable is seeking a Sales Development Representative to help us further grow our customer base. Candidates for this role will be expected to identify and overcome a variety of new hurdles daily. When connecting with marina operators, you will shift seamlessly between identifying where we can deliver additional value to our existing customer base and qualifying potential net-new deals.

Through understanding and identifying what problems marina operators are facing in their day-to-day operations, you will be able to empower our account executives with discovery information to help them demonstrate how our technology solutions can help solve those problems.

What you will do:

  • Regularly interact with marina operators, using Salesforce for team tracking and working purposes. Some of these metrics include (but are not limited to) phone calls, leads, and pipeline management.
  • Constantly test new and innovative approaches to sales and lead generation.
  • Demonstrate the ability to call out to our current customer base to generate cross-sell opportunities for our account executives.
  • Work multiple outbound/outreach call campaigns from our marketing team.
  • Cold-call into regional areas to find net-new opportunities with marina owners.
  • Demonstrate the ability to maintain a fun and congenial work environment with your team.
  • Design, refine, and document various value propositions from scratch to understand how to best route different customers to multiple products.
  • Prioritize consistently to move high urgency, high-quality opportunities immediately and jump back into the next prioritized task.
  • Maintain strong discipline of clicks and process inside of Salesforce.
  • More specifically, you will be responsible for:
    • 80+ outbound calls a day.
    • Generate 2 -3 outbound SQLs per day.
    • Pipeline management and follow-ups with potential clients.
    • Hitting monthly activity and lead quotas.
    • Taking detailed notes on all customer interactions.

What you will need:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in high-volume cold calling, consistently achieving or exceeding a target of 80+ calls per day.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce (or comparable CRM), Zendesk (or similar tool), Google Apps, and Microsoft Office.
  • A hunger not just to get results right the first time, but also to improve them for the future.
  • Exceptional communication skills (phone, email, and text).
  • Time-management skills and motivation to constantly push yourself to do better in a remote environment. You’re comfortable navigating ambiguity, trust yourself to make the right call in the moment, and can calmly develop best practices as you go.
  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills, with the ability and foresight to consolidate and simplify your daily tasks in order to scale systems and processes across larger teams.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with the marina or automotive industry.
  • Experience with Salesforce.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
