About Crexi

Commercial real estate is one of the largest asset classes on earth and one of the last to go digital. Deals still get done over email threads, PDFs, and relationships nobody can search for. Crexi is the exchange betting that doesn't have to be true anymore: we're building the platform where an entire industry finds, evaluates, and closes deals, and we're betting hard on AI to get there faster than anyone thought this industry could move. There's no playbook for turning a trillion-dollar, relationship-driven industry into a modern marketplace which means the people building it get to write it.

About This Role:

A Sales Development Representative (SDR), Pro Sales is responsible for generating a qualified pipeline of leads and opportunities for the Pro Sales Account Executive team. The role focuses on outbound prospecting, identifying and engaging commercial real estate brokers and owners who match Crexi’s ideal customer profile, and converting those initial touches into booked meetings and qualified opportunities that drive new paid subscription revenue.

What You’ll Do:

  • Runs high-volume outbound prospecting — cold calls, emails, and social touches — to engage commercial real estate brokers and owners matching Crexi’s ideal customer profile.
  • Books qualified meetings and introductory calls between prospective customers and Pro Sales Account Executives.
  • Qualifies inbound and outbound leads, verifying fit and readiness before handing off to the AE team.
  • Manages and maintains an accurate, up-to-date pipeline in Salesforce, ensuring all prospecting activity and outcomes are logged in real time.
  • Uses Outreach and AI-assisted tools (email drafting, call prep, prospect research) to increase outbound volume and personalization.
  • Maintains expert-level knowledge of Crexi’s Pro product value proposition and competitive landscape, and helps peers sharpen their messaging in team discussions and call reviews.
  • Collaborates with the SDR team and SDR Manager to share market signals, refine messaging, and improve prospecting sequences.
  • Shares customer and market feedback with internal teams to help refine Crexi’s go-to-market approach.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience in a sales or customer-facing organization.
  • 1–2 years of experience in sales, lead generation, or a customer-facing role, with a track record of meeting or exceeding activity targets.
  • Demonstrated cold-calling experience and comfort with high-volume outbound (required).
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce and a sales engagement platform (Outreach, Salesloft, or similar) preferred.
  • Commercial real estate background or exposure preferred, not required.

Who You Are:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and qualify prospects quickly over phone and email.
  • Disciplined outbound work ethic with a track record of consistently exceeding activity and pipeline targets.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Salesforce, Outreach, Microsoft Suite, Outlook, Zoom, and RingCentral.
  • Comfort using AI-assisted tools for call prep, email drafting, and prospect research to increase efficiency and personalization.
  • Positive, team-first attitude with a willingness to receive and apply constructive feedback.
  • Proven, creative problem-solving approach with the ability to adapt messaging and tactics based on response data.
  • Curiosity and interest in developing as a sales professional with a long-term growth mindset.
  • Commercial real estate exposure or interest is a plus.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
