The Sales Development Representative (SDR) plays a critical role in driving awareness and the adoption of Cohesity’s solutions. This foundational role is suited for individuals passionate about beginning a career in sales. The role is focused on identifying new business opportunities and contributing to the development of a strong and sustainable sales pipeline.

HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE:

  • Collaborate with team members to build and refine outbound prospecting lists.
  • Identify key decision-makers within target accounts.
  • Create and execute multi-channel outreach sequences (phone, email, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Conduct discovery calls to assess prospective needs and introduce Cohesity solutions.
  • Respond promptly to inbound leads via phone, email, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Qualify leads using predefined criteria and book meetings for Account Executives to progress opportunities.
  • Work closely with account executives to hand off qualified opportunities.
  • Develop deep knowledge of Cohesity’s platform to confidently communicate our value proposition.

WE'D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING:

  • Enthusiasm for sales, with ideally 1+ year of relevant experience.
  • Comfortable using CRM and prospecting tools.
  • Experience with researching companies, cold calling, emailing, and navigating organizational hierarchies.
  • Confident in making cold calls and handling objections.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Receptive to coaching and continuous feedback.
  • High level of grit and perseverance in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong work ethic and goal-oriented mindset.
  • Collaborative, team-first attitude with a willingness to share knowledge and best practices.
  • Self-motivated with a focus on learning and career development.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
  • College or bachelor’s degree.

Disclosure Pursuant to Applicable State Equal Pay Transparency Laws - This position has a starting pay range as listed below. Actual salary depends upon many factors, including a candidate’s skills, qualifications and experience, location, and salary expectations, and therefore a starting salary at the low end, high end, or even above the stated range may be offered. This position may also be eligible for bonus compensation, commission (if in a sales function), and/or equity grants. Additionally, full-time employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits framework, including health and wellness benefits, vacation, paid holidays and refresh days, 401(k) retirement plan, life and disability insurance coverages, and other benefits the Company may offer from time to time.

Pay Range :

$65,600.00-$82,000.00

The compensation noted above is based on an annualized hourly rate assuming normal full-time employment.

Current pay transparency shows the OTE (On-Target Earnings) for commission-based roles.

In-Office Expectations
Cohesity employees who are within a reasonable commute (e.g. within a forty-five (45) minute average travel time) work out of our core offices 2-3 days a week of their choosing.
