We are actively seeking a visionary and experienced Art Director to lead our talented artistic team. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of creative expertise, a keen eye for design, and a passion for pushing the boundaries of visual storytelling in the gaming industry.
Responsibilities:
- Creative Leadership:
- Provide visionary leadership to the art team, driving the artistic direction of our games and ensuring alignment with the overall creative vision of Sawhorse Productions.
- Inspire and mentor artists, fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and excellence.
- Art Direction:
- Define and communicate the artistic vision of our games, ensuring a consistent and visually compelling experience for players.
- Collaborate with game designers, writers, and other stakeholders to integrate visual elements seamlessly into the overall game narrative.
- Project Management:
- Oversee the planning and execution of art-related tasks, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Work closely with producers to prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including game designers, developers, and animators, to ensure cohesive integration of art assets into the game environment.
- Provide clear and constructive feedback to foster a collaborative and iterative creative process.
- Quality Assurance:
- Conduct regular reviews of art assets to maintain a high level of quality and consistency with the established artistic direction.
- Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to address and resolve any visual issues.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- 4-6 years of proven experience as an Art Director in the gaming industry with a strong portfolio showcasing successful projects.
- Knowledge of the Roblox platform and experience working with teams inside.
- In-depth knowledge of industry-standard design tools and software.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to balance creative vision with practical considerations and project constraints.
Benefits
SALARY RANGE
• $30/hour-$60/hour
LOCATION/SCHEDULE
This role can be based in the Los Angeles office or remote. This position is generally operating during West Coast hours M-F 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM.
