Risk & Analytics Intern

Internship Summary

NinjaHoldings is seeking a self-motivated, intellectually curious Risk & Analytics Intern who is interested in the opportunity to grow and learn as part of a dynamic team at the heart of NinjaHoldings’ strategic decision-making. Our internship program offers an opportunity to work on real projects that move the business forward while receiving hands-on professional development.

When: May-August 2027

Location: Hybrid, downtown Chicago HQ (in-office 2x/week). Candidates must be local or able to relocate independently - relocation assistance is not provided.

Schedule: 40 hours/week

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor key funnel and loan performance metrics, reports, and dashboards to evaluate the performance of our products and understand the root causes of changes
• Establish funnel and loan performance metrics and develop automated reporting and alerting using SQL and Python
• Conduct analysis using advanced data analytics to evaluate trends in funnel and loan performance and provide optimization strategy recommendations to improve metrics 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement funnel or underwriting strategy changes, monitor releases, and perform impact analysis
• Analyze A/B testing data for funnel or underwriting optimization experiments, evaluate impact and provide recommendations

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Current junior or incoming senior majoring in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
• Experience with relational databases and SQL
• Data analysis experience with Python
• Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills with key attention to detail

Additional Pluses:

• Pursuing advanced degree in quantitative discipline (e.g., math, statistics, analytics, quantitative, finance, engineering or other quantitative fields
• Experience with BI tools
