Revenue Operations Manager, (Sales Operations)

Full-Time, Remote / Salary, Exempt / Includes Benefits, PTO, Flexible Schedule, Equity

Steno is growing - and we’re hiring a Revenue Operations Manager to join our mission-driven team that’s redefining the court reporting industry. We’re a diverse team from all over the country (and beyond), and we’re crazy about redefining the boundaries of an outdated industry.

As the Revenue Operations Manager, you’ll report directly to the Vice President of Revenue Operations and serve as the dedicated Sales Operations partner to our Outside Sales organization. You'll work hand-in-hand with Sales Directors to keep the team running efficiently - driving scale through systems, data, and processes that let reps and leaders focus on selling. This is an individual contributor role with high visibility and real influence over how our sales org operates day to day.

Who are you?

You're a detail-oriented operator who loves making complex sales processes simpler and more effective. You're comfortable in the CRM, comfortable with data, and just as comfortable sitting across the table from a Sales Director working through a territory or comp question. You know how to prioritize across competing requests, communicate clearly, and build trust with the people you support. You're a builder, not just a maintainer - you look for what's broken or inefficient and fix it before someone has to ask.

On a regular basis you will

  • Serve as the primary Sales Operations point of contact for Outside Sales Directors, partnering closely on territory planning, target setting, activity management, and performance reporting.
  • Maintain and optimize CRM (HubSpot) workflows, data hygiene, and configurations specific to the Outside Sales motion.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports that give Sales Directors and reps visibility into pipeline, forecast, and rep performance.
  • Support sales process design and enforcement - qualification stages, approval processes, and handoffs to/from other teams.
  • Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks affecting Outside Sales productivity, escalating or partnering cross-functionally where needed.
  • Create and maintain documentation and training materials for Outside Sales tools and processes; support onboarding of new reps from a systems/process perspective.
  • Partner with the broader Rev Ops team to ensure Outside Sales processes stay aligned with company-wide GTM systems and standards.

You’re gonna crush it if

  • You have 3+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, or a related role, ideally supporting an outside/field sales team.
  • You have strong CRM experience (HubSpot preferred) and are comfortable building reports, dashboards, and workflows independently.
  • You have solid analytical skills and are comfortable translating data into clear recommendations for sales leaders.
  • You're highly organized and can manage multiple stakeholder requests and projects at once without dropping the ball.
  • You communicate clearly and build credibility quickly with sales leaders, even when the news isn't what they want to hear.
  • You take ownership - you don't wait to be told something's broken, you go find out and fix it.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
